Remarks :
After the results are out I made a list of colleges in order based on my preferences for counseling. I've placed well ranked IITs almost including all of the top and then nit Tiruchirapalli , nit Rourkela, nit surathkal follows the order with some other nits on bottom. At the 1st round itself i got a seat in chemical engineering in NITK in OBC category. And i decided to join without waiting for further rounds
Course Curriculum Overview :
I'm fond of chemistry subject . So i was passionated to take chemical branch in NITK. Faculty student ratio will be like 25:1 And the faculty here are highly qualified and experienced and there are even some assistant lectures who may not have experience but they are qualified well. Teaching will be in pratical way. The quizzes and assignments are easier but midsem and endsem will be a bit difficult.passing in subjects is not a difficult task
Internships Opportunities :
In our college there are internship coordinators who help in making out internships the companies offering internships can be paid or unpaid based on the job offering.and there will be even some mini projects to do . Companies like amazon , microsoft, wells fargo etc will hire eligible students baded on performance
Placement Experience :
After the end of the 5th-semester, pre-placement works will be started. Nearly 100-140 companies will visit every year for hiring students. In-circuit branches there is nearly 99 percent of placement and in noncircuit branches like a mech, civil, chem metallurgy, mining the average placement percentage will be around 80- 90 percent. I want to pursue my higher studies after getting my degree
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Based on the cast category and income certificate few wavier will be different. For sc/st or obc category, it will be low and for OC Category it will be based on their income certificate.For a student in this college average cost to study will be around 70,000/year. And there are merit scholarships and financial assistance available
Campus Life :
A major fest called INCIDENT takes place every year in the month of February. It's the great major fest in our college. Central library is very good at it's infrastructure with a wide collection of books and journals. Classrooms are wide-spaced where teaching can be done either on the blackboard or background presentation. Recently a new sports complex was built which includes both indoor and outdoor games. There will be clubs like the ROTARACT club which will be maintained by students by forming a organization and the most fascinating thing about college is having a private beach
