My opinions on MNNIT

Remarks :

I went through this college by SATs, the cutoff at that time for this college was around 2100/2400 and i believe I was lucky enough to make it through it. Now regarding the admission process, We were provided all the details beforehand regarding the admission process. There were seniors all around to guide the freshers. Multiple help desks and counters were there with nameplates so that no confusion would be there.

Course Curriculum Overview :

To be honest about my course selection thing, I wasn't very sure then, as the IT sector was rapidly growing, it seemed to be a perfect choice and I went for it. At MNNIT, we can get a blend of both extraordinary and worst faculties, talking particularly in the field of my stream, there were good faculties for major subjects. Guest faculties are also there for some subjects and it depends on what subject they are teaching. The course is definitely really nice. Actually, at MNNIT, seniors guide their juniors more than the professors, CC classes, and everything is there for better understanding and enhancement.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is generally for 2-3 months and the work differs from profile to profile. The stipend is worth taking the internship. Rest regarding the companies and all I have mentioned in the past question.

Placement Experience :

This is the best thing about our college, The placements are great at MNNIT. Starting from the third year, students are eligible for internships, hundreds of companies come at MNNIT to recruit just to name few could be Google, Amazon, Salesforce, Flipkart, Wellsfargo, Deloitte, Collegedunia and a lot more visit and hire students. the same goes for placement as well, all the big companies MnCs everything come to our college for the recruitment process. The Training and Placement cell is so good, it makes sure most of the students gets placed. I will talk about my branch, like the past record is 98.7% of the batchmates were placed by the end of 5 months from the placement session. The highest package for this year was 51.75 lakhs from Atlassian.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Well, this is something I would say it's not that great at MNNIT especially after the covid has hit the country. They didn't reduce any fees for us even after we pleaded for it. Hikes are like okay, twice a year maybe. yes, ther is a provision for the scholarships and financial aids available in the college.

Campus Life :

Well, it's always about the people you are around with and the people who make the place happening. So yeah I have always been around great people and it has been one hell of a journey throughout the college. At MNNIT, the name of our cultural fest is CULRAV and it falls somewhere around March-April of every year. Any fests be it technical or cultural, everything is organized majorly by college students itself. Proffessors here are barely interested in such events, they actually can be barriers sometimes, So one should know how to get things done. The library facilities is actually nice and the ambience is pretty good. Talking about the sports and extra-curricular activities, ther are multiple choices one can opt. Several committies are there just to name few of them:- Dramatics, Arts, dance, music etc etc. for sports we have again many options like Chess, Badminton, Tennis, Cricket, Atheletics and many more. The extracurricular here is appreciable actually.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is okayish. The room is shared by two people, in the first year, the room is allotted randomly by the administration department but after that one can choose their roommates accordingly you will be allotted. There are curfew timings in the Hostel to mention it's 9:30 at night. The registration process is quite easy, it gets done along with the admission or says registration process. But the most important thing is safety and it's good there. Several guards are there in the hostel. The hostel can be home if you want it to be or maybe more than home I would say.

The placement is very good in my college. From the 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Mahindra etc do visit my college. The highest package is 16 lacs per annum and the average package is 4 lacs per annum. 95 % of students of the batch get placement every year. In this college, there is 100 percent placement of all students. But some students choose to take admission in post-graduation. Post-graduation course is not available in this college due to University policy.
