Remarks :

NIT Rourkela, IIIT Bhubaneswar, college of engineering and technology, IGIT Sarang. Because vssut is good in computer science and engineering branch so I have chosen this college. No, I do have not any quota. Vssut admission criteria age is above 18, and there are different types of marks required for the different branches in vssut. For computer science, the minimum marks are 140.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Because there are many software companies came to our college. All faculties are good in our university. And the student ratio is 126. All facilities are master's in bachelor technology from IIT and IIM. The teaching method is very good given by our faculties. There 2 exams in a year, and 2 mid-semester in a year. The exam of our college is very strict.

Class Size : 126Course Fees : INR 41000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are many internship opportunities available for our university such as Wipro, Suzuki motors, Infosys, Havells, LG roles offered under internship with stipend. I have a project on the computer. Many students of our computer science and engineering branch have a good idea for an invention in iic club-like as Satelite VSLV. I have a project in the robotics club, to study how to make a robot with computer programming.

Placement Experience :

3rd-semester students are eligible for campus selection. Many software companies came to our university such as Samsung, Wipro, Havells, Schinders, Infosys, LG. 70 percent of students getting placements in our university. After completing the bachelor of technology degree I want to study master in bachelor of technology in nit and IIT.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees for our computer science of technology are 41000, and the hostel fees are 28000, and the university fees are 12000. I haven't got any stipend. I have won a scholarship for securing 98 marks in mathematics on the Orissa board.

Campus Life :

Vassunt is our annual fest that occurs in January month of every year, and samavesh is our tech fest that occurs in December month of a year. All types of engineering books are available in our university library, and many coaching types of books are also available in our library. All classrooms are connected with AC. And the classroom is a virtual study classroom. Illumina is our sports fest and occurs in March month of every year. There are different kinds of sports played in our Illumina for both boys and girls. There so many social groups and clubs are in vssut such as Sae club, emotica club, vibranz club, iic club, soul club.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel rooms are very good quality and every room is connected to a free wifi connection. The meal quality of our hostel is very good I am very happy with the meal. In a weak there four times are nonveg. And Monday and Thursday are pure vegs. The hostel registration process occurs at our university auditorium room, and the fee of our hostel is 28000. The locality I have rented for a room or pg is at burla kirba square Sambalpur.

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Reality of GIFT college

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
