Entrance Preview :

I got selected through Odisha JEE -2013 and i secured rank-75. Now through JEE-MAIN Vssut is selecting students. On the basis of ranks i got selected in Vssut. Its campus surrounded by the hills and the mighty Hirakud dam made me enthusiastic to take admission over here. The lab facilities are very advanced and here is a great involvement of teachers to sharpen the skills of the students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

In first year subjects from each branch are taught along with labs. In second year the branch subjects are taught with respect to the different branches. Third year is also the same . And during final year along with labs one seminar and project submission is there for the evaluation of final year marks.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, Student do their internships in many research institution and corporate sector. Research institution like IITs, NITs ,IIITs, CERN etc. And corporate companies like TATA Steel , Rourkela Steel Plant,Hewlett-Packard, HAL, Nalco, Hindalco, Branddudes etc. College is providing 100% support to the students during the internships.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For the ST/SC students PRERNA is there who provides an amount of Rs. 35,000 yearly. For the state government students MEDHABRUTI is there provides Rs. 10,000 yearly. Different NGOs are also providing scholarships to the students.

Campus Life :

Campus life is very fresh. The surrounding of the nature refresh your mind.The gender ratio is 3:1. Students from different regions come to study here . An integrity is maintained here since many years.At first year an unknown person becomes a good friend in second year . The students here are more friendly to anyone.

Exam Structure :

During the career 8 exams we need to appeared . The semester consist of 6 months duration. During 4 years career . Back logs exams can be given along with the semester exams. Lab exams must be given to be promoted for the next semester. Actually during the exams for all the day is hectic. After the exams are over all relaxed and chilled out.

Review regarding Nalanda Institute of Technology(NIT), Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Reality of GIFT college

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
