Ayushi Bhaduri's review on Uttaranchal University, the best University of Dehradun

I had applied for Manav Rachna University and I got selected by clearing MRNAT exam with 146 rank but couldn't opt because of pathetic pandemic situation.The minimum marks criteria for the course is minimum 50% marks and 45% in case of SC/ST category. The coordinator had given every details after admission through online mode due to pandemic.

I'm very much interested in Food technology as it's budding stream and good for research because I want to do research and a lot to explore because 'Food is life'. It has a vast scope now a days. Many innovations are taking place in Food Industries along with Packaging of food. Faculty: student ratio is quite good. Faculties are highly qualified with doctoral degrees. Faculties have an excellent way of teaching and are very cooperative. They clear each and every doubts. Take short class tests and thoroughly explain each topic along with doubtclasses. They also prepare informative Ppts to make us clearly understand. Through assignments, a quick revision is being done. They also provide basic information for future competitive exams.There are 2 sessional exams of 30 marks and one end sem exam of 60 marks. Faculties teach so well that students can easily score good marks.

The internship provides an opportunity for a student to explore and gather work experience. It's an integral part of the curriculum. Internship ranges from 6-10 weeks depending on the recruitment of program and the industry. Internships allover grooms and brush up the students. Companies like Nestle, britania, dabur, Himalaya, patanjali, PepsiCo give great offers and packages. Projects are given and outcome is appealing.

At the end of 6th sem students get placed. Companies like Nestle, britania, dabur etc visit. 12lakh per annum to more packages are offered approx. A lot of students get placed in good companies. After the degree I'm planning for Masters and then research.

Fees is economical and can be given in installments which is beneficial to students. 44k per sem fees but scolarship matters. We got girl child scolarship which is really motivational. The Sushila Devi scholarship is only for girl child. According to percentage in 10+2 scholarship varies. Uttarakhand State domicile scolarship is also there. Merit scholarship, scolarship to the wards of defense personnel. Sports scolarship is also there.

There is Uva fest that is held around the month of March. There is more than 1.5 lakh books in the library which highlights our University. The classroom is spacious with digital board. A lot of events take place here time to time and I personally participate in most of the evnts. There is World food day, nutrition week, International Women's day, National science day World Health day Seminars, poster presentations, powerpoint and video presentations and so on which makes our University unique with tons of CCA ( co-curricular activities) and lot of sports events like volleyball chess badminton etc .There is Food tech club and I'm a member of the club. In the university there are so many clubs like Ecocops, Biogenerika, Eureka club, foodtech club and so on.
