Remarks :

I applied to several colleges in Bangalore. A few of them were PES, Dayanand Sagar, BIT. I got myself admitted into Bangalore Institute of Technology through management quota. The minimum marks required for admission in my college is 60% in PCM in class 12 and the age limit is 19.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose Electronics and Communication engineering because of its vast job opportunities in every field. We have top-notch faculty members in our college. Faculty: student ratio is almost 30:1. Exams are held timely as per the schedule given at the starting of the academic year.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 450000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Our college also provides internships for the students. In fact, now it has become compulsory for students to apply for internships. Companies that visit my college for internship are Amdocs, Flipkart, zebronics, etc.

Placement Experience :

From the 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placement subject to if they do not have any backlogs till the 6th semester. Various companies visited are CISCO, MERCEDES BENZ, ADOBE, L AND T, FLIPKART, AMAZON, etc. 85% of students are almost getting placement. My plan after getting the degree is to pursue master's degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees for my branch are 450000 per annum through management quota and 210000 appx through merit list. Various types of scholarships are also provided. Such as for the students of Jammu and Kashmir and many more.

Campus Life :

Manthan is one of the annual fest held in my college. Library also has a good collection of journals but they need to provide the latest books as the scheme of the syllabus has changed. Most of the books are of older schemes. Sports and extracurricular activities is a major drawback in BIT Bangalore. There are few clubs in my college namely TEDX, THE VOICE CLUB, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel room just has a single fan along with 2 or 3 or 4 sharing beds. Meal quality is just okay. Registration is through demand draft in favor of BIT MEN's HOSTEL. My hostel is located in Vishweshwara Puram which is on my college campus itself.

Hostel Fee : INR 85000 per year

Experiencing a Real Life

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Infosys, Amazon, Dell, TCS, Capgemini, iGate, IBM, M/S legato company, Etc up to 40 companies. The highest package is 4.5 LPA, whereas the average package is 1.5 LPA. 50%-60% of students getting placements. I'm planning to do Masters.

Very good infrastructure, good place for learning and exploring

Remarks:

Provide more and more practical knowledge to the students by planing more industrial visit and provide the journal pages and internal blue book in the program fees.

Admission:

Should attend the DCET or CET conducted by the Karnataka examination authority on the basis of your CET score and PUC- 2 score will be ranked in CET ranks with those rank eligibility of the college is set with some cut off rank, then with CET rank allowed to do option entry after that we will be aloted with perticular college then we can fill the fees of the aloted College and the documentation procedure will be completely online.
