Entrance Preview :

GATE-35/100. It is one of the prestigious college in India and Campus placements are also very good in this college, That's why I preferred this college.

Internships Opportunities :

Mandatory eight weeks training or research internship in department specific industry to gain hands-on experience in third year of undergraduate study. Apart from this, many industrial visits and workshops are organised to make students familiar with the industry-culture.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I did not heard that whether anybody got scholarship or not. I think nobody did not get that. Even Loan facility is offered only for those who can show the guarantee/assurance from house properties.

Admission :

Through GATE-2011. Filling the priority of the branches through online. After few days I got the Branch in Rourkela as per my gate score, Then I confirmed the obtained branch, After that the documents verification and finally joined the college. Then I had been allotted to one boys hostel.

Faculty :

Most of the faculty members are from various prestigious colleges all over India are very skillful except few. But overall faculty teaching is very good. Faculty try to build the confidence in students and try to build the self-dependent quality among the students.

NIT ROURKELA: REVIEW INFO

Remarks:

Overall the college is very good in every aspect. The college environment is superb and it is eco friendly. The fees is little high here. Other things I like everything. Here you can gain a lot of knowledge and definitely you can get success. The infrastructure provided here make it more better to it

Campus is quite big and most if the time climate is pessimistic in nature that will tire you during day time, Transportation between different departments is a different choice as it way to hot and sunny almost every time in the year.

I have cleared GATE 2013. Through GATE I took admission here as a M.tech student. There is the facility of stipend 8000 per month. Hostel fee and admission fee are very cheap.

Placement Experience:

GATE qualified i choose NIT RKL because it has a great reputation i had choosen geotechnical engineering as my M.Tech branch i did my B.Tech in civil engineering and M.Tech in geotech engg i have submitted my project on rock mechanics.

There are 17 students in our specilazation and maximum students got job and others are doing their phd from several colleges i am doing my phd from IIT KGP lots of students have joined for lectureship in civil enginnering at several colleges they got near about four to five lacs per annum.
