Remarks :

I did apply for AMU and JAMIA only. First online application on the website then objective type entrance test of 100 marks. Based on the marks obtained, GD & PI list was released by the University. GD & PI was conducted and then a final admission list was released.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I always had a dream of pursuing an MBA and learning about its concepts and applications in the real business environment. This is why I chose this course. The faculty-student ratio is 1 teacher per 12 students. Our faculty members are well qualified and are professionals in their respective fields of management. End term exams were conducted a bit late due to the covid situation. It was an online viva for all subjects consisting of 30 marks. The remaining 70 marks were assignments and projects.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship opportunities provided here is good. We have a seperate committee for internships and placements which guides students and provides information on various internship programmes. Some internships offer stipends even upto 10000 and some are unpaid. DLF, CETI Foundation, Zomato etc are some of the companies that offer internships.

Placement Experience :

Campus placements take place every year but not each and every student is placed. Some are left behind. It also depends upon the performance of students. Big companies such as LG, ITC, Honda etc come here for placement. Overall placement is above average here.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For a full-time MBA program, our university charges rs 20000 (approx) for the whole year which includes hostel fees as well. For a professional course like MBA and the level of education provided, I think it is very much affordable for all the sections of the society. Besides, there are various scholarships opportunities provided by the University which makes it easier for everyone to study here.

Campus Life :

The campus life is very much vibrant here in AMU. Each year a literary and cultural fest is organised on the campus. We also celebrate the birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan known as sir Syed day. It is considered the biggest festival on campus. The whole University is adorned on this day. We also have the 2nd-largest library in Asia known as Maulana Azad library on our campus. Classrooms are well furnished and clean. Our campus has a lot of greenery which makes it more beautiful. Each hostel conducts an annual hostel day where sports and extracurricular activities are also conducted. We have a cricket stadium, a football ground, a hockey court, a swimming pool and every other necessity for sports and extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is excellent with facilities such as electricity, water, geyser, playground, gymnasium, common room, reading room etc. The dining facility is great, providing breakfast, lunch and dinner at a price of 1100 per month. The quality of the food is also good. However, due to the excess number of students, some hostels are not able to provide hostel accommodation to each and every student instantly. They take a time of 2-3 months or sometimes 6 months depending upon the availability of rooms.

Interview Experience :

A total of 8 students per group was allotted for the GD & PI session. In the GD session, there was a bowl that consisted of chits of various topics. The topic was selected by one of the group members. Our topic was work-life balance. Each student had to speak for about 2 mins in the first round. In the second round, each student had to give their conclusions on the topic. In the interview, we were asked to give an introduction, hobbies, why do we want to do an MBA. In the admission process, online application for entrance test consisting of objective type questions of 100 marks. Then after the entrance test, a list was published for students selected for gd and pi round. After the GD & PI, a final admission list was published. I self-studied every topic and prepared for these rounds.
