Entrance Preview :

The distance learning course offered by IGNOU is very convenient. The course assisted me in gaining good knowledge about accounts and finance. Hence I am glad that i decided to opt for IGNOU. Programme registration process is very friendly and easy. Financially the college is very affordable for all class of students. I secured 52% marks in M.com final exam.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure was very good. I felt that the course was just right to give me necessary knowledge about finance and taxation. I enjoyed that course. There are 5 subjects each year and all are compulsory. I am not sure if any one is elective. Be sure to read the prospectus for the number of elective and compulsory subjects applicable for your course/programme.

Internships Opportunities :

This is a correspondence college so as far as to be best of my knowledge the college does not provide the internship. However if you are intelligent /competent enough then any company would want to hire you.

Placement Experience :

No the college does not guarantee your placement or any job opportunities. However seminars and other functions are frequently organised where you can show your real talent and you know secure a very good place. To sum up, college may not provide you with any placements & job opportunities but you can always look out for yourself and find a suitable company for job.

Exam Structure :

The exams are conducted in half yearly basis. One is conducted in June and another during December. If you did not succeed in one half term then you can always sit in exams after 6 months. The exams are conducted usually with 3-4 days gaps between each papers hence it is chilling and you are not given much pressure.

Admission :

Forms are available in the college premises. Prospectus should be purchased from the College. I visited with my friend and then we purchased the prospectus which contains the form and application for programme. Same should be properly filled and submitted within time mentioned in such prospectus.

Faculty :

Since I joined a correspondence course and i was not in frequent interactions with the faculty I am not able to comment on this one. Hence i would like to pass this question. But there is 250 character limit. So will copy paste my answer. Since I joined a correspondence course and i was not in frequent interactions with the faculty I am not able to comment on this one.

Placement Experience:

IGNOU has the facility to provide internship and final placements not like as school of open learning. The companies that are coming in the campus for hiring are decent and average and provide enough package to the students.

Remarks:

Whatever i felt is that the college atmosphere during classes was good and the faculties are helpful and the college management helped us during needs as i can say this because i lost some of study material which was arranged by the staff at nominal cost. so overall the college experience was quite nice.

Remarks:

Management is very centralised, and least bothered for the overall development. Though major steps have been taken for students involvement, still there is a long way to go, when management starts focussing on the overall development process.
