Remarks

I got good marks in Higher Secondary examination and applied for reputed colleges under Calcutta University along with St. Xavier's College which has B.Sc. in Microbiology. I belong to the general category. I was selected on the first list. Every step of the admission process was mentioned clearly in the portal itself.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is very interesting. The teacher-student ratio is about 1:5. All teachers are either doctorate or post-doctorate. Undoubtedly they are all very good at teaching. Semester Exams are held every 6 months and exams are not very hard to pass.

Internships Opportunities

I was an intern at Medica Superspeciality Hospital, Fran Biz Corp, Mahanadi Spices, Internshala( student partner), IMUN. There was Tropical school of Medicine, NRS, KPC, SSKM where many students have done internships. We submitted posters and papers to the Indian Science Congress 2020.

Placement Experience

After Bachelors, students generally aim for higher studies like Masters. Also, they apply for internships, and in 90% of cases, they get selected for internships. I want to pursue Masters after completing my bachelor's.

Fees and Financial Aid

Quarterly fees are Rs. 24000-25500. SXC provides some scholarships like Luxmi Baid Memorial Scholarship and the Mamraj Agarwala Scholarship. However, one can apply for DST-INSPIRE SCHOLARSHIP ( Rs.80000/ year).

Campus Life

Xavotsav is our annual fest which is conducted on 22th,23th, and 24th January. Also, there are Xavullash, Theaxav, Bodhon, Goonj, XPL held throughout the year. All reference books are available in more than 3 copies in the library, also we have an e-library which is very much handy and beneficial. BLS, AICUF, XADAM are the societies for cultural programs.

Remarks:

For my course this University was appropriate and yes Kolkata is near to my hometown than Delhi, Pune or Bangalore. I read reviews about this college and there were positive comments about this college although Noida campus is much older than Kolkata campus so it would be great taking admission in Noida campus. Also Amity University Noida is the main campus. As per my course there were not much colleges in Kolkata and I don't want to go far. Since, now I am studying in this college I have seen professors giving their best to make us understand everything and even prepare us to work on different projects by guiding us and giving us assignment which influence us to explore different topics and learn more. The lab and library facilities are great here. And for fun and entertainment college conducts different functions and programs which encourages our creativity.

A Review of The Heritage College

Remarks:

I'll be all positive about college. Being from a middle class family of Jamshedpur, it was really great to study there. Maybe I found a new myself there because of all the love and affection I received from everyone in college. Our principal and teachers were so kind and loved us so much. I really don't have an idea about what people think about college, but it was really home for me. It's a great atmosphere for someone moving out of home for the first time. Everyone in college will be very happy to have you unless you don't want to be so.
