Remarks :

I haven't applied for any other college. Gnanam School of business was my first choice for my Master's degree in Administration. The admission criteria were based on the Tancet (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Examination) marks and U.G degree percentage. Admission Process was very Smooth and Clear before admission I had a college campus tour which was guided by the Admission Coordinator of Gnanam school of business and it was very satisfactory because the surrounding environment and building structure were really good for studying as well as for being a full-time resident at the hostel since it is Residential Business School. My parents and I were very happy that I came to the right place to do my P.G.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose M.B.A to learn about how to do business and to know which level I am at when it's about Business. Faculty and Students here are in Mentor: Mentee relationships. Here all faculties have huge industry experience and teaching experience. So it's easy for them to guide us and make us travel on the correct track to success. Each faculty's teaching style differs but they are similar in making it get into the student's mind and make them understand it in a practical way. They don't only take class, they engage us with lots of group activities and teach us through practical experience. Term exams are called CIA so we have 3 term exams and then University exams. Term exams will make us trained to face semester exams as well as increases our knowledge simultaneously. Their training and term exams are more than enough to score high marks in semester exams.

Internships Opportunities :

Ifortis Corporate is the company where I am doing my internship as Sales and Marketing intern. I am working on driving Sales and Marketing for the project Aarambh 3.0 and Arise which world's first and largest virtual festival for youth 2021.

Placement Experience :

From the 3rd Semester, students become eligible for attending placements. 3i infotech, Reliance, and many more are interested in employing GSB students. The Corporates who provide placements believe in the quality of our GSB students. Everyone is placed in a reputed organization. After my degree, my aim is to find my place in my dream organization.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total cost to study here is around 4.8 lakhs and it's worth paying since it drives your growth gradually. An educational loan is provided by SBI. So semester wise we pay fees. We have lots of placements for this year.

Campus Life :

All Specialization books, Novels, Motivational Books and Magazines are available in our college library which is like a heaven of knowledge where we can live up our spirits to success. We have Nontechnical clubs like Entrepreneurship Development Club, Corporate Social Responsibility Club, and Technical Clubs like Finance, HR, Systems, Marketing, and Operations Club. These clubs are conducted by students to develop organizational abilities.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are highly and regularly maintained because cleanliness is their first priority. For Students health care different kind of foods which make us feel at home. The warden is very helpful in guiding us when we face any issues they would immediately take action.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are handled by the Placement team of our college. More than 100 companies visit the campus for placements. Due to the rules of the placement team, the companies that visit the campus cannot be disclosed. The average stipend for summer internships is usually around 70-80k per month and the average package for the final placements is around 17 lakhs. The placements in the college are decent enough.

Placement Experience:

The placement committee organises all placement activities. A lot of opportunities are available. About 120 companies visited for final placements with a similar number of offers being made. The highest package is 25 lakhs. 100% placement has been recorded. Being a premier institute, lots of opportunities after education.

Placement Experience:

For the summer internships, certain big names come after the second month of starting college whereas the majority typically come around the second term which is from October to December. On account of Covid-19, the level of placement has come down drastically with most of the companies being startups. As far as final placements are concerned, there is a lot of scope for finance and moderate expectations for marketing and little to slim for operation roles. The placement percentage always becomes 95 or 100% either by forcefully putting students in irrelevant job roles or making them withdraw from the process.

Remarks:

The only problem in this college is the infrastructure. Most of the buildings are very old and especially our department building is quite old and prone to leakage during rain. Other than that the college is quite good and well equipped with a big library and wifi facilities are also provided.

As earlier said they need to focus on knowledge as well apart from results, at the end it's students life and career which need to quality. And also they should bring lots of companies so that there students can get settled.

Remarks:

Overall the College is a good college. But there are too many levels of hierarchy. We never really know who is the main head of the institution because there are so many people like Principal, Chairman, Director, Coordinator etc. The university the college is affiliated under is not good. Anna University is keen on looting student's money.
