Heaven in Earth

Remarks :

Majority of the colleges in Kerala comes under a single university. The college was well established and near to my location. Peaceful campus, good facilities and a warm environment , i decided that this is where I am going to enjoy the beautiful part of life.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Electronics and communication engineering had the highest ratio when it comes to future opportunities, as we can also persue IT field. Syllabus as a whole is all messed up. Faculties where all experienced and Electronics department was accredited by NBA. Our branch had the most number of students. Each odd semester were 3.5 months and even semesters were 3 months long. Exams are tough.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities provided with in the college is very low( literally zero). No companies have provided internship. Just workshop will be conducted by the students, under different clubs. Those who wish to conduct internship should find a suitable place somewhere out side the college during the vacation.

Placement Experience :

The final year students get the most placement opportunities. Tcs, Infosys,Wipro,Qburst,Quest, Mrf and Byjus conduct placement drive regularly. Highest package was provided by Tcs and Byjus. The percentage of students getting placed is almost 60% of the passout students

Fee Structure And Facilities :

I received a scholarship (E grants) and thus had to pay the admission fee only. For a student without a fee concession, the fees is comparatively low for the facilities it provide. It was around 5000 for those who don't have scholarship per semester and financial assistance were provided through scholarships . There were no campus jobs.

Campus Life :

Pure heaven. Perfect environment for someone who needs to learn and become a good engineering, while enjoying a terrific campus life. Fests are conducted every year( technical and cultural alternatively). There is a huge central library along with department based libraries.Every class room has a smart tv, projector for better teaching process. The entire campus is WiFi connected.Every year, sports day will be conducted. There are many clubs such as NSS, IEEE, RoboCek etc run by students.

Admission :

No interview or group discussion were conducted. The admission was purely based on the marks scored in the KEAM entrance examination and the marks scored in 12th grade. A rank list is published based on the 2 criteria and students can opt for a college and course of their liking and based on their rank, the students will be selected.

The students become eligible for the campus placements in the 6th semester. The average students getting placed in the mechanical department are about 30%. My plan after completing my mechanical engineering degree is to go for masters in business administration

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum contains a vast area of nursing aspects and they include OSKI as a new component of the nursing curriculum which prepares as well enough to face the job interviews ahead. But the time limit is so short that we find it difficult to complete the syllabus on time. As the syallabus has changed to semester system we are expected to write exams more frequently but that is good as it helps as to improve our writing skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architecture is a tough and time taking course, the syllabus fine in the first three years but later on it becomes hectic. Maybe the syllabus can be reduced and I feel that five years is too long for architecture degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course mainly because of the job opportunities. There is plenty of teaching and non-teaching staff in the college. All the teaching staff has Mastered nursing and all are very talented teachers. The teaching method is lecturing and av aids are also used by the teachers like projectors. The exams are conducted after the completion of each unit. It's an average tough exam to score good marks. The only problem is that exams will be conducted daily and the personal behavior of some staff may vary from person to person.

Placement Experience:

No campus placement is provided by college because it is a government college. After getting degree I planned to practice in Kerala high court and also wants to attempt judicial service examination. I also planned to join LLM at central University or in Canada. In Canada there are many opportunities for LLB graduates.
