Entrance Preview :

I got admission to this college based on my score in Kerala entrance examination and 12th standard annual examination score. My score in Kerala Entrance Examination was 180 marks and my 12th standard percentage was 75%. I have opted this college because it was closer to my home and they were offering good placements.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure is interdisciplinary & research oriented in nature, with a focus on the basic sciences in first year and more detailed engineering branch specific subjects from second year till fourth year.

Placement Experience :

Placement average was very poor. Only few companies came for campus interviews in the college and not even 20% of the total number of pass out students were placed.Had to go for off campus interviews in order to get a job.

College Events :

College celebrated Annual Sports and Arts meet , Annual College day celebration, Technical fests for each branch were conducted in college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is feasible as the annual tuition fee was only 49000.

Campus Life :

The extracurricular activities were not that great. The college was not providing/reserving enough funds for the same.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network is not at all good. There are no frequent alumni gatherings. The college took some funds from students for alumni gatherings but they are not properly using it.

Faculty :

Certain faculties were good as they had knowledge on the subjects they were teaching but some faculties were not post graduates and some was studying for post graduation and they were not having any in depth knowledge on the subjects .They were teaching and mostly they were mugging up everything and teaching it.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Students who have completed their sixth semester can start their placements. Infosys, Wipro,TCS, digitalcore, USTGlobal , Sutherland, Accenture etc had taken placements from last years. The average package starts from 120000 lpa and highest was 700000lpa. This year itself more than 800 students was placed in different companies.
