Remarks :
I applied for Allahabad University apart from Ewing Christian College and my reason for not attending the same were. Firstly, it was far from my place and secondly, my subject preference was not taken into consideration. Quota- I belong to the general category so I did not avail any of the quotas. The admission procedures were simple, first, we need to fill up the admission form and thereafter clear the entrance test. The minimum criteria for clearing the entrance is 80/190 marks .and the maximum age is up to 22 yrs. After clearing the entrance test, verification of documents takes place, and the subject preference is taken into consideration according to the merit list. After the document verification counselling takes place regarding the subject which has been opted for.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am currently pursuing Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, Economics and English. I opted for this course because I aspire to be a Government servant, and all these subjects will help in achieving my goal. English department is a very precious department of this college. All the teachers are well versed in their subjects and highly experienced. The faculty is well equipped and teachers are well versed in their subjects and teach in bilingual language as per the student's requirements. The student ratio in each class is quite huge,70 students per class. The term exams were timely scheduled and the paper pattern is tricky and points to point answers are expected.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees on campus are a bit high compared to other colleges in the city, but the quality of education is satisfactory. For Bachelor of Arts 5000-12000, Bachelor of Science 25000-40000, Bachelor of Commerce 25,000-30,000.MBA program 40000 and for BBA 35,000. The scholarship is given by the government of Uttar Pradesh and the whole fees are reverted to the students account including some extra allowances.
Campus Life :
There are various sports for both boys and girls. Each year sports day is conducted and various sports like hockey, badminton, cricket, volleyball is conducted. Spandan is the annual fest of the college organised in November -December. The library has an ample number of books, but the main issue faced is that not more than one book is issued.
