Remarks :
It has very well experienced Faculties, Great Laboratory and instrumentations facilities in the Bhimtal Campus of KU. The hostel is also offered At Biotech. Department of KU itself at Bhimtal. With good Faculty, laboratories, There is a Resourceful Library for all students and Research Scholars up to PhD level. Collection of Standard Reference Books, journals, Daily, are very helpful. The teacher is very supportive, even the place is very beautiful, away from Hot weather, it's cool and serene here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I opted for a Pharmaceutics specialization due to my industrial experience after UG. Also, it has a NIRF ranking in the Top 100, state-funded university. 1:15 rose to 1:18 ratio in 2020 is set for 3 subjects i.e Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy. The faculty-student ratio is 1:6 for Pharmacology. Exams are conducted in 3 parts. 2 internals, followed by Practical examination and Final End semester written exams. Courses are covered and revised in 4-5months followed up by timely examinations. Management is done very excellently.
Placement Experience :
In the final year, of the course, students are eligible for placements. There are numbers of MNC coming to campus for offering placements, like Cipla, Sun Pharma, Zydus, Alkem, Lupin, along with various other organisations. The highest package for B.Pharmacy was 2.4 lac PA and for M. Pharmacy was 4.8 lac PA. More than 80% of students get placed. I plan to go for the F and D department after my PG.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition Fees is 85000 Rupees yearly since its State-funded, fees hike is not seen till now and examination form costs 1800 per semester. Hostel fees cost 18000 per year. There are various scholarships validated at college including GATE/GPAT/NET.
Campus Life :
Cultural and Sports festivals are observed annually in Jan February month. There are seminar and presentations organised specialization wise. There are dozens of Subscribed journals both international and National, more than 30000 books for students. The classroom is well created, full of ambience, dust-free boards for tutorials, soft cushioned Classic wooden chair gives a very comfortable pleasure while in the classroom.
Hostel Facilities :
3 seater room with own Fan, study bulb, window, cupboard, study table and chair are provided. The food menu is organised by the student mess committee and Warden sir. who is very caring and supportive. Registration can be done at the Hostel office itself. There is a facility for Online payment as well. it saved my time as well. There are several rooms/pg affordable for students nearby campus.
