Remarks :

I selected NIT-Raipur because, after IITs, NITs are the best institutes in India and being a NITan is a matter of prestige. Due to COVID-19 I didn't apply for many competitive examinations due to the fear of the pandemic and then one day while searching on the internet I saw a notice in which I applied for NIT- Raipur for my masters through UG marks basis during the month of September in the year 2020. So far I am very satisfied with my institute and the way they are managing the online classes.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because i was interested in geology since my schooling. The total number students in my institute is 18 out of which 4 are girls and 14 are boys. The HOD of my college has done M.Tech and has PhD qualification. All other associate professors have PhD degree. The teaching method is also very good of the professors. Since i am in newly admitted and i am in 1st Semester till now my term exam has not been conducted.

Class Size : 18Course Fees : INR 83000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Yes in my B.Sc 2nd year in IIT Bombay, India i did my internship. The project name was Strain and vorticity analysis of mylonite rocks from Bhavani shear zone, Tamil Nadu, India.

Placement Experience :

From final year students become eligible for campus placement. The companies visited in my department was Vedanta which selected 6 students among total 15 strength. The average package offered from my department is 4 LPA. Percentage of students getting placement is 40%. My plane after getting the masters degree is to crack competitive exams like GSI or GATE or ONGC.

College Events :

The annual fests conducted are protolith, prithvi and inter-nit's competitions and also very year there is annual alumni meet. Wide range of books can be accessed from library including e-books. The professors also provide with soft copies of the books to follow from our study. M.tech applied geology association is runs by the students in all social media platform which includes LinkedIn, twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Campus Life :

Since i have taken admission during the pandemic we haven't visited the campus till now but i have seen the pictures of my institute from their official website www.nitrr.ac.in and it all looks great. I have also contacted my seniors who said that the campus life is pretty good and wi-fi connection is smooth. Even during lock down, the campus is organizing online extra curriculum activities like quiz, painting, singing, dancing, etc. competition through online mode

Hostel Facilities :

I have not been to the hostel because currently we are going through Online classes only but to apply for hostel there is only online process and the fee payment is also through online mode. A group of mess committee is selected among the students who runs the mess of the hostel.

The college is governed by state govt bondd of 2 years for both the AIQ and state quota students So the placement is through that only it's salary is around 56000 fixed, apart from that the hard posting allowance in sukma and bijapur makes salary around 50000+30000=80000
