Kk Modi university durg review by Nitisha Mandal (bcom Hons student)

Remarks :

Pros:- 1. We study in workshops, not classes. 2. We learn more practically rather than theoretical. 3. We give a presentation in front of corporate people. 4. Students in programmes except BCom Hons get a scholarship of 25/50 % + extra 10% in tuition fees. 5. The campus is very well designed. 6. There's an open library available for students. 7. There's a happiness center to enjoy and have some fun or do yoga, exercise, etc. 8. Students get recruited by companies from the second year itself. Cons:- 1. Students from Bachelor of commerce Hons don't get any scholarship despite the great percentage one has scored in 12th boards.

Course Curriculum Overview :

1.The faculty over here are well qualified. 2. We have a strength of only 15 to 20 students on each course so it helps us to ask as many doubts as possible. 3. Student-centric approach is applied.

Internships Opportunities :

We are all the foundation batch students of Kk Modi university so we are in our first year only so can't be really sure about the internship but the college is a part of the corporate group as it has around 10 to 15 companies of its own so no need to worry about the job. MBA students in the very first semester of their admission got internships in Godfrey Philips Delhi with 25000 INR per month.

Placement Experience :

Our college offers campus placements as this is a corporate college. The college has some companies of its own and they do have tie-ups with other companies like Google, Microsoft, Philips, etc. MBA students in the very first semester of their admission got internships in Godfrey Philips Delhi with 25000 per month.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees for bachelor of commerce Hons is very minimal that is 60000 INR per year but you add on admission fees, examination fees, security amount, and much more it costs you around 90000 to 100000 INR per year. There's scholarship for students but for students excluding the ones from BCom Hons.

Campus Life :

I am a fresher and due to the Coronavirus pandemic, I haven't lived the campus life so can't say anything about it. But I have visited the campus and it is great, the design, the happiness center, everything makes it so much appealing to go for.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is available to the students for both girls and boys but as this covid-19 pandemic is going on I haven't lived in the hostel so can't tell much about it. The fees per month are around 10000 INR which is tentative to date.

Interview Experience :

1. You need to fill the application form which now us only 280 INR, which is a great deal to go for. 2. You need to give a written exam which consists of majorly English, a bit of mathematics that is general maths. 3. The candidate also needs to appear for the one-to-one interview.

Admission:

After I gave my board exams I had to search for a good college for my graduation which can provide me an Honour's degree. GGU is a central university and every student who didn't have the option to move out of the state for their graduation had the option to go for GGU's entrance test and the same was with me in my case. I filled the form for the entrance test between 'April and May' called VET. To get admission a student must get his name under the top 100-150 students. Approximately 2000 students appear for the exam and the competition is very high. After the exam results are announced, the student is informed to come to counseling which is usually of three 3-4 days. After submitting all the documents and paying fees in counseling day students respective classes start from the month of August.

Placement Experience:

There is no internship available for the placement. ICICI bank and some other private institutions in the banking and insurance sector are major recruiters. Approximately 4-5 students are placed out of 120 students.
