It is a very good college for journalism

Remarks :

Good thing - faculty behavior is very nice Bad thing - most of the programme schedule is not on time Admission process is very simple, fill the form on JMI website for PG Diploma in hindi journalism course, then after you will give entrance paper in written, after qualified in written exam, you will be called by the department for documentation process, on the same day they will inform you about date of first class of the year This is a wonderful college in respect to journalism in comparison to others, these college alumni are mostly settled in the media industry, so I preferred this college. No, I don't have taken any recommendations from the blog, website, or forum, but yes I was heard about this college to my friends

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have done bachelor in journalism, I needed to do diploma courses in journalism from the wonderful college There are mostly guest faculty are coming there, only one or two are the faculty is permanent basis, and the class size is 40 Faculties are most qualified, they are generally coming from the media industry, they all have well experience about journalism. There is only one exam in a year, the course gives task and assignment time to time

Placement Experience :

This is one year programme. So only one exam is held in the last of the year, and 1 or 2 months before exam campus placement is held Around 70 percent of student get placed in the different media industry I'm currently working with news portal thejantarmantar.com and after the course, I have joined India news

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I think the fees of this course are something high, and the reason for the hike fees is because it is a self-financed course. Here are no scholarship criteria for the student. I think there is also no financial assistance. And yes placement opportunities is very good there, every year most of the student get placed in the different media industry

Campus Life :

No any annual fest, but one day educational tour programme is organized by the department Availability of books is very good, in the campus, there are two libraries, there are lots of books to read Amenities are very good in the classroom No, there is no any extracurricular activities and no sports, Sammukh magazine is run by the course, this is quarterly magazines

Admission:

The admission is on the basis of an entrance exam conducted by the college itself. The students need to clear the entrance exam in order to secure admission to the college. I joined the institute because of its reputation, but at least this branch of the Institutes is not at par with the Delhi branch.

Placement Experience:

The placement record is very good in our college. Leading news channels and National television networks offer placements to the students of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication. Average salary packages vary from 2 LPA to 5 LPA.

Admission:

Admissions are on the basis of an entrance test. The students who clear the exam, have to appear for the interview process. The interview process was pretty lengthy and tedious. The panel was pretty experienced and they were really in a mood of scrutiny.

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty good here. Most of the students are employed by the TIMES group only while others sit for the on campus recruitment process where other media houses visit to absorb the best of the talents for the job profiles like TV presenter, video editor, content manager, etc.

Remarks:

My days at IIMC were one of the best days of my life and it taught me a great deal about the profession and even life in general. It also taught me a lot of about myself and greatly aided my self realization. I have met some of the most wonderful people here and made friends for life. I hope IIMC overcomes the issues that have been plaguing it and shines again soon.
