Remarks :
The admission Process involved attempting AMUEEE. Thereafter, a cut-off is decided by the controller of exams ( not revealed) and on that basis, a firm list of students is uploaded having Admission Roll No. of selected students and a certain time period is given where we have to submit scanned copies of our 10th,12th, Caste Certificate for online counseling. If no discrepancy is found in those Uploaded Documents, Then you're allowed to submit your Fees through Online Payment. There are many Good and Bad Aspects of this College, • Good Aspects - Good NiRF Ranking ( 18-31) Decent Placements Exposure to Students Developing communication skills Infrastructure (Asia's Biggest Library, Hostel) • Bad Aspects Lack of Core Companies Visited for Palcement Very Small Number of Internship Programmes for Students This College Stands for its "Brand Name" and It is a well-known and Reputed College Worldwide. Currently, Ranked 9 out of All the Colleges in India According to Shanghai Ranking List.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I Chosen Mechanical Branch for Bachelors in Technology from ZHCET, AMU. Because the Mechanical Engineering Department of this College has it's own Standard and is probably one of the Oldest and Reputed Department of this College. The Professors are extremely good and educated from different IITs and NIT's. Some of them have completed their PhD while others have Masters Degree. Currently, We're using Online Mode of Education where we have regular meetings on different online platforms like Google Meet and WebEx. As far as my knowledge, Faculty: Students is approximately 1:30 Two kinds of Exams were held i.e. Mid Semester Exams and End Semester Exams, Any Student who had focused on Class Lectures and prepared Notes can Score good Marks, and of course a good CPI.
Placement Experience :
As Compared to other different Universities providing the same courses, you will the placement in our University quite decent and up to the mark. In Engineering Department, Most of the companies visited in the last few years are majorly IT companies including Wipro, TCS, Accenture as the mass recruiter (at 3.3-3.5 lpa) and Maruti Suzuki( 4.5 lpa), Adobe(6.2 lpa), etc. From the 7th Semester, the Students become eligible for campus placement. The highest on-campus placement was 17 lpa in 2019 and the lowest one is 2.3 lpa (provided to 6 Students by Wipro in 2012). But, the average package lies between 5.5-6 lpa. Every year, nearly 92% of students got placed in these different companies visiting the campus. While Some Students look forward to the off-campus placement and others try to get into PSU's. My plan after B.Tech is to complete Masters's in Technology from either AMU or any other reputed IIT or NIT.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The Cost of Pursuing Engineering at ZHCET,AMU University is Quite Low with respect to other Engineering Colleges in India. It is Rs.18,340 for the First Year & So on. Thus, Net Fee is Approximately Rs.80,000-85,000 for 4 years. Also, there are numerous scholarship programs for the students about which students are regularly informed by publishing a NOTICE on their official website. I'm currently in my 1st Year So, I'm Studying Right Now and Don't Have a Job.
Campus Life :
There are a lot of social clubs in our University including ZHCET Codechef Chapter, SAE Collegiate Club, AMU Roboclub, etc, Each one of them having its own Official Website run by its own members (seniors). Sports and Games have been a very distinctive feature of AMU. The Cricket club is the oldest one. The AMU University has separate grounds for cricket, hockey, football, riding, and athletics. Indoor games like chess, table tennis, carrom, swimming, and badminton are also available for students. AMU's Maulana Azad Library is the largest University Library in Asia. And Books are available to students, once they have their Admission Cards. For example, we are provided with books for Engineering at just 10% of the cost of the book and of course, we have to resubmit them to the library once our semester ends. As far as I know, AMU Litfest is the only fest that is conducted in the University every year.
