Remarks :
It is one of the best colleges nearby and one of the only 9 government engineering colleges in the state. There is an availability of plenty of good facilities and good faculty as well. The admission is through the KEAM scores. There are also plenty of extra-curricular activities and the college also promotes and actively provides opportunities for students to nurture their talents. The college is also NBA Accredited in the departments of Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, and Mechanical Engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum covers almost all the basics and need-to-know stuff for an engineer who graduates in the field. And there are multiple electives offered towards the end of semesters which allows you to choose which path you want to take in that specific field. There are many Ph.D. holders among the faculty and even more who are currently in the pursuit of one. The faculty is a treasure trove of knowledge and encourages and actively helps the students with their queries and interests and projects.
Placement Experience :
There is plenty of placement opportunities. Students in the final year of studies can apply to the college placement cell to be considered for placements when companies come around with the offers. Companies such as TCS, Wipro, Microsoft, Mahindra, Litmus7, Infosys, and so on have visited and recruited students in the past. Usual packages include 3-5 CTC and it has gone as high as 15 CTC at times
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee is affordable for almost all classes of people. It is a government set fee structure and so is marginal as the students only need to pay a minimal amount. Even still there are financial aids provided both via the government and via other sources such as the PTA, local governing bodies, other Institutions, and such for economically challenged individuals. Some get discounted fee structure while others get entire exemptions from the fees in their entirety.
Campus Life :
The campus is very eco-friendly and provides a very calm and quiet learning environment. The college conducts an annual arts fest "Daksha", and an annual sports meet. There is also a biennial National Multifest "INVENTO" that is conducted having various events and expos and programs and competitions that are both technical and otherwise inclined. The library is fully equipped with a plethora of books and there are multiple subscriptions for journals available at the on-site computer and there is an e-library available at the campus network as well. All the classrooms are fitted with both a blackboard and a whiteboard and have a projector each as well. There are all sorts of communities like FOSS, IEEE, NSS, and all various coding clubs and chapters as well.
