Life at IMI

Remarks :

The admission process comprises WAT, extempore and interview. An interview at IMI is considered to be a stress interview. The dates are between Feb and April. Location and faculty is the major reason to accept this college over baby IIMs and another tier 2 colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The finance faculty is the best. Exams are conducted on a trimester basis and if you concentrate in class and listen carefully then it isn't difficult to pass exams. Peer learning and projects were a reason for selecting IMI over other B-Schools. The course structure and curriculum is as per the industry norms and the study material and overall learning help in preparing for corporate life.

Internships Opportunities :

Many big companies visit the campus for offering internships and also provide PPO opportunities. The stipend ranges from zero to 1 lakh per month. The projects vary around different specializations like Finance, Marketing, Sales, HR and Operations.

Placement Experience :

The placements are good. Placements are better for the final years than the summers for the first years. For summers most of the companies which come to campus provide very less or no stipend but the projects offered are of quality. For finals, the package averages around 8 LPA in the current pandemic situation, but the pandemic has not affected the no. of companies coming to campus.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are high. The scholarship is given to the top 3 students across the three courses and financial assistance is provided to the EWS categories. The financial assistance program is really beneficial for fit students as they get to do the same course in a minimal amount without any discrimination. The placement cell works day and out to help the batch to get placed.

Campus Life :

Kritva is the annual fest conducted in Jan-Feb which is the most glorious event of IMI. Mba life outside the classroom is the most important which gets fulfilled in IMI. The library provides all kinds of books and sources both online and offline. The sports club is the best club in IMI which works rigorously to provide sporting facilities and events throughout the year and to maintain a healthy balance of work and play.

Hostel Facilities :

Mess food is really nice and not like the typical mess food. Rooms for the first years are inclusive of bathrooms, ac, and geyser. For second years the hostel is on campus but the bathrooms aren't attached. The overall experience of the hostel is good. The residential affairs club which is a student-driven club looks after the hostel and mess and takes care of the student grievances.

Interview Experience :

There was a written test and interview. The written test was based on current topics. The interview was a stressed one. Questions were coming directly from the conversation so it is important to drive the interview the way you want. Being thorough with current happenings and your CV is a must for cracking the interview. Also, confidence is the key.

Placement Experience:

Placement of the colleges is very nice after the internship gap after that we have semester 3 and while we are in semester 3 the companies start approaching us domain wise so if one is into marketing they will have so many options and is there into operations we have very few companies so it's a thing in the college but if you are someone who isn't place the college will take care all though they provide enough companies like in internship in my batch we had around 40 companies and I feel like in the placement they also help a lot

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a MBA student. I wanted to do it for my own father's company. But I've faced a lot of issues in my 1 sem. Also i would like to tell about the teacher of QT because of her i got a back in my exams. Improvements are surely required because most of the students fail in QT. I've asked from my seniors too there is no management for this subject. Also the exam level was high because we didn't knew what even the syllabus was

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for final placements in third semester and summer placements in the first semester itself. We have many big names here in the campus JP Morgan Chase and Co, Morgan Stanley, AON, ICICI Bank, Atomberg, Hindalco, Deloitte, KPIT, Samsung, etc. Almost all the students get placed here. I'd the percentage is above 90. The highest placement offered was 26LAC+ and the average stood at 14lacs. I am currently intern at a company via the college placements and am working towards getting a PPO. If I get one, I plan on staying in the same company.

Placement Experience:

College offers its students placements which makes them give a loud shout-out. Although the placement process is hair-raising, the results are out of the league when compared to the rest of B-schools. Please check the placement report in detail from our website, because my words won't be able to do justice to the results we have.

Remarks:

My experience with the USMS IPU institute was pretty exceptional. I would definitely recommend this institute for whosoever is looking to pursue a master's degree in the region. Admissions are on the basis of the entrance exam organized by the university, itself. Infrastructure is world-class and everyone is pretty supportive here.
