Remarks :

The selection criteria include the scores of MICAT (held twice), CAT/XAT/GMAT- can give the best score of the three, past academic records, group exercise and personal interview. I preferred MICA over other colleges I converted to explore my affinity for advertisements and marketing as a whole. The pros of the college include its serene campus, pedagogy adopted by the faculty and its uniqueness as a Creative B-School. The cons of the institute its course curriculum are totally inclined towards marketing and it is not appropriate for students aspiring to excel in operations or finance.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum includes three terms of 12 weeks each. The faculty is erudite with teaching experience of more than 10 years and a pool of industry experts also. The student-faculty ratio is 20:1.

Internships Opportunities :

The average stipend offered is around Rs.95,000. The highest stipend offered is Rs.3.2 lakhs. 213 students got placed. 76 recruiters participated in the summer placement process. There is an increase of 21% in the average stipend.

Placement Experience :

The key recruiters in the E-commerce sector include Amazon, Intel, Flipkart, Google etc, FMCG sector-Amul, HUL, Loreal etc, FMCD- Raymond, Target, Puma, Aditya Birla, etc, Analytics-ICICI Bank, Citi, Deloitte etc., Advertisement- Group M, DDB Mudra Group, Media net, Publicis Com etc., The highest package offered is Rs. 32.8 lakhs per annum (Domestic) and the average placement is around Rs. 13.89 Lakhs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees are Rs.21 Lakhs. It includes the two years program fee, residential charges and all the facilities available on campus. There are three hostels-only girls, only girls and a co-ed one. Scholarships are offered to 20 students based on their academic performance and the annual income of their families.

Campus Life :

The students have access to the library, journals and case studies. The classrooms are inclusively held with teacher and students both playing a significant role. The student committee and councils include SCAM( sports), SANKALP( theatre), MIComapass, MICAminds, MICARE, Studio 7, MICANVAS, TedX MICA, Miquest etc.

Interview Experience :

Group discussion round is not held however, There is a group exercise round with a batch consisting of 10 students. We need to create a dialogue to the scene of the topics given to us. It lasts for about 10 minutes. The personal interview revolved around my favourite marketing campaigns, hobbies, a few data mining questions and opinions of mine on several social issues.

Remarks:

Nirma University is the first University to be established in Gujarat and has been offering quality services since the start this is why I opted for this University. It was 44th in MBA & 151st overall 2020 rankings of NIRF. The university has Grade''A'' NAAC accredition and also has approvals by UGC,AIU & NBA. CAT score, academic Records and PI/GD round performance of the students are the factors on whose basis admissions are done for MBA at Nirma University.

Admission:

The university has the same admission procedure for MBA programs as in other institutes foe management programs . The past academic records and CAT exam score of the candidates are checked for shortlisting of students. It was then followed by the Interview Round through which the panel examined the candidate. The performance in all these rounds finalised the selection of students
