Remarks
A college is a good place for all those who want to avail an engineering degree from a good college. The college is a good one. If you are SC or ST, the college is the perfect place for you. You can avail the least fees. You can have six books per semester from the library. You can keep them for the whole master. The placements are good you can be placed in some companies. But there is some strange set up wherein you need to pay money to the college if you are placed. That really has to be overcome. The hostels are good. There are good outlets in and around the college. The faculty is good. Most of the faculty have done a PhD. The teaching I would say is okay not great. But to be honest, there is more or less no engineering college where you can be expecting the college staff to teach you a lot. Most of your development needs to be done by your own preparation. The college has some fests. There are two main fests common for the whole college namely Maitree and Sanskruti.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had taken an Information Science and Engineering branch which is kind of sub-branch for computer science. The branch is good. Not too bad to be honest. The staff are supportive of the branch that I studied. The branch is good too to get placed in some company.
Placement Experience
I would say that the placements are quite good in the college. If you are good enough, I can assure you that you will be placed. I have been placed through the campus placements itself so there is an example already. Average package is 2,75,000. TCS, Infosys, Mindtree, Syntel are some of the major recruiters.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees, when I studied, was like 45000 rupees as CET fees and 21636 as the college fees. After that every year I paid fees on a consolidated fees basis. It was 62000 for the second year, 66000 for the third year and 72000 for the fourth year. Note that from the third year onwards they started taking placement training fees and that was the reason fees kept increasing. Also note that if you get a seat in an aided set of seats, the fees are almost half the above-quoted amount.
Campus Life
Social life in college is nice. There are two main fests. One is Maitree and the other one is Sanskruti. There are interdepartmental fests as well for every branch. There is a garden to socialize. There are eat out joints. There is a sports complex. So the college is good to socialize.
Interview Experience
There is no group discussion or any kind of interview for entry into the college. I joined the college on merit so this is not at all considerable for me. I got a seat in the college only because I was good on merit and I earned the seat, so no interviews.
