Remarks :
IIIT Vadodara is known for its placements among the newly established IIIT's, I got the information about this college on its official website (iiitvadodara .ac. in). The information provided by the website is very accurate and the one who wants to take admission from this college must visit this website for more information about this college. The college environment is good for study but the only drawback is the permanent campus of the college is still under construction, but this drawback is not affecting the campus placement performance. This college should be chosen in JoSAA counselling in June and after confirming the seat in the institute the person should take all the required documents to Gandhinagar for admission in July and once he/she verifies his/her documents the admission process will be done and the fee payment should be done online and after the payment of fees he/she is done with the admission process. I preferred this institute because of its good placements.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen the Computer Science course at this institute because it has more specializations in it and also more opportunities for job placement. All the faculty members are pass outs from other reputed government institutes like IIIT's and NIT's. The student-faculty ratio will be like there will be one faculty for every 40 students, there will be faculty advisors for every section of students who will take care of the students. The teaching process is good and mainly the schedule of the classes is stress-free. Every semester will be of 4 months with one midsemester exam at the midterm of the semester and one end semester exam at the end of the semester. The exams were not that much difficult to pass if you study a minimum of 50% of the syllabus, but the grades are given relatively. So, one should focus on the aspect of relative grading.
Internships Opportunities :
There are internships offered by companies through placement cell, companies like Microsoft, Amazon are hiring students for internships over a wide range of fields. Total offers received in B.Tech Computer Science Field for placements is 73 in 2019.
Placement Experience :
The members from the 7th semester are eligible for campus placements and the reputed companies like Toppr and TCS visited the institute for campus placements. The highest package in 2019 is approximately 15 lakh per annum and the average package is approximately 6.5 lakh per annum. Most of the students in 2019 got paced in companies, the placement rate of the CSE branch is approximately 95% and the placement rate of the IT branch is approximately 100%. My plan is to study M.Tech after getting a degree in B.Tech computer science and engineering.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee is not that high but every year it increments to some extent which is not a big problem. The overall fees of the B.Tech course is approximately 12 lakhs for 4 years. The scholarship is provided on the basis of the cast he/she belongs. If he/she belongs to the Scheduled Cast/Scheduled Tribe then only he/she is eligible for the scholarship. The name of the scholarship is the NSP scholarship. The banks will provide financial assistance by giving educational loans. Based on the reputation of the institute SBI bank provides loan, for this institute, SBI gives loan up to 12Lakhs.
Campus Life :
There are many fests on the campus held every year. There will be competitions also based on the study and other activities. The library should be improved, the no. of books should be increased. There is also the availability of gym at low fees but the facilities should be improved. There are many clubs such as drama club, a coding club for organizing events for the students.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is good, they will provide one bed and a locker for securing essentials. There will be four members in one room. For hostel and mess facility you have to register separately and the fee is also paid separately. The hostel fee is 14000 for four members in a room and if the three members the fee is 18000. The meal is good and it will suit members from any part of the country. The menu will have all the essentials like milk and egg etc...
