Remarks :

I would like to say that it was very nice experience pursuing my masters there and all the faculty and management staff very very practical and helpful during studies.

Entrance Preview :

I got admission in this college through JRF NET exam. I opted for this because I loved to be in UP and centre of India. I aslo heard a lot about SHIATS while pursuing my B.Sc at Hyderabad.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The coursework was very helpful as well as very elaborative it was very simple to understand as they taught in that manner. College has vast opportunities in further research as they are maintaing large fields where research activities are going on.

Internships Opportunities :

Our college provides stipend and scholarships for poor and lower castes also they provide scholarship through ICAR.

Placement Experience :

They organised lot of Placements opportunities through campus placements from my class two students selected for BOB bank few of others were selected for private banks and companies. Some of my friend remained jobless but later they also got jobs.

College Events :

Our college was very famous for celebrations as almost all festivals are celebrated there with great enjoyment. As our college was funded by Christian Community, during Christmas the environment was very lightened and sparked. We all were engaged in participating many events like cultural sports etc. There were a lot of activities regarding music dance etc too.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure was not expensive but for some of the courses , I heards it was expensive. But overall we can say it was feasible. For my course , the semester fees was Rs. 17000/- and it was not expensive at that time. But hostel rooms and mess fees was on higher side.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our college provides and help poor and needful as well as intelligent students through ICAR scholarship, SC/ST scholarship etc. I don't think they provide loan but a lot banks provide loans for study there.

Campus Life :

I think the college maintained gender ratio and they also attract a lot of girls students as they are offering lot of facilities for girls students. All students were from different part of nation as well as different culture. We understood each other apart form this the college provides a lot of facilities for sports and extra curriculum activities.

Hostel Facilities :

My response and memories for hostel facilities were mixed as I stayed outside like a day scholar. I was keen to get a room at hostel but my Seniors staying hostel warned us . Later I found and heard a lot of negative things about hostel like rooms not clean , bathrooms and toilets not hygenic , drinking water facility was not proper etc but one day I ate at hostel mess and the food was tasty.

Alumni/Alumna :

When all of my friends passed out, we were scared of forgetting each other but since then we are in touch through WhatsApp and sharing our ups and downs with each other.

Exam Structure :

Exam structure was very helpful and less stress giving we all were not in stress while examinations. We enjoyed lab work and exams there the whole exams patter was built like that we never took stress there was semester system if anybody fails in one or two subjects, he get another chance during next semester.

Admission :

I saw advertisement of their admissions open in all courses while reading TOI newspaper one day then I searched about this college at internet and from my Seniors. I caught train to Allahabad and applied for admission in their Master courses administration was very helpful.

Faculty :

Faculty was highly qualified they were very strict within classrooms and very friendly out of classes they all were very punctual specially Stat faculty was amazing they were very knowledgeable and having good command over subject. Biotech and biochem faculty were also very young and enthusiastic almost all of faculty members were PHD holder or pursuing PHD.

Placement Experience:

Generally, final year students are eligible for the campus placement it could be second-year third year according to the subject. There are different companies who visited the campus like TCS. The students of Aligarh Muslim University are easily selected for the placement because of their skills and knowledge. Approx 82-90 % of students are selected for the campus placement every year. I am pursuing an MSc in microbiology and after that, I will do PhD from this university itself, because this University is the best for higher studies.

From the 3rd semester, students are eligible for placements. There is so many companies like TCS (GE Capital), ONGC (Chopras), ICICI (Indiainfoline), and CSC (India mart). All these companies come in AMU. Most students received desired packages. I think more than 180 students got job offers from different companies. 90-95% can get placed. Skype, Opera companies visit the AMU campus for placements. My plan is to pursue P.hd only from AMU ib my course, after M.Sc.
