Real fact... From student point of view

Dislikes

  • The infrastructure is not upto the mark. The washrooms are not at all hygiene.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I think Genetics and Plant Breeding is the most flexible course as it connects modern genetics, biotechnology and plant breeding together to influence crop improvement. The academics are good. The exams occur semester-wise. The level of the exam is moderate. The practical lab work is quite down. The research field work is at high level.

Internships Opportunities :

Placement offers by VNR SEED company, DCM Shriram Ltd, etc. in our campus. The salary is based on the position offered. The position offered such as salesperson, plant breeder, production manager, etc. Not all company provide stipend.

Placement Experience :

The students in 4th sem are eligible for placements. The uniiversity provides placement based on criteria of companies selection process. The salary package is not that much high, it's average. Placements occurs based on interview of students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

According to me, course fee is different in each semester, it sense to be unusual. But compared to govt agriculture college fees are high. I have not opted hostel so I don't know about it. The further details of fees structure is visible on official website of shuats.

Campus Life :

The curriculum activities occur according to the festivals. We celebrate each every festival together with joy. The students participate in drama, music, sports, cultural program, etc. There is Central Library at campus where e books are also available. I think more books should be added in library as number of students are more. The smart classrooms are available with projector. You can go through the Instagram Facebook profile of shuats.

Admission :

I took SHUATS ENTRANCE EXAM for admission process and further couselling had been done based on rank of scorecard. But Christian were called firstly for counselling and seat had been alloted to them. Then rest of the students were called for counselling and seat allotment. Classes started from August 1st week. You get the application form at shuats website. The level of exam is moderate to easy. I had secured 400 rank and got admission in Genetics and plant breeding. There are many courses like plant biotechnology, plant pathology, entomology, soil science, agriculture engineering, vegetable science, pomology, floriculture, landscaping, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Available of lot of scopes and India being a farming country i opted for this course . The curriculum provides us enough knowledge to go out and provide for the society. Nothing much of improvement is needed. Two semester exams are held annually and difficulty level is a little bit more then average.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose Plant Pathology as a course because I was interested in plant diseases and pathogens. The ratio between faculty and students is 1:6. Faculties are well-qualified from government colleges with Ph.D. degrees. There is 1 mid-term and 1 end-semester exam held which are moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose my subject because I interested in it. The faculty and students ratio is 1:2. Exams are not very difficult for that student who did hard work and study but the exam should not be a very easy and simple level of the paper is medium to high. But not very easy to clear the exam.
