Survey of college

Remarks :

College is very good incase of placements. Quite student friendly campus. But have to be grow in infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our college is under the KTU university. It contains 8 semesters. Each semester has 6 subjects. 2 intenal exams and 1 end semester exams are conducted to review the knowledge of student after each semester. During the course we have one industrial visit. Our college have placement cell which is the reason for excellent placement history.

Placement Experience :

Our college is excellent in placements. Various companies like Bosch, LTTS, Keyvalue, Deloitte, Ittium, Synopsis etc. have already visited the college. Steps in recruitment: 1. Aptitude test, 2. Technical interview for those who passed aptitude test, 3. HR interview. Institution take very much effort to mold the students for placement season.

College Events :

Our technical fest is Excel which contain huge participation from the state. It include various technical and non technical events. Various games and fun zones are also incoporated with it. Arts fest are also conducted every year. Entire college is divided into 4 houses and compete to achive the arts trophy.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees are paid on yearly basis. Amount to be paid is based on the admission criteria. For merit students they have to pay 35000 per annum for 4 years. For management quota they have to pay 65000 per annum. For nri admission they have to pay 1 lakh per annum. There is no additional fees other than this. College doesnt provide any transparency in fee breakdown.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No, I dont opt for any scholarships or education loan. But various scholarships are available for students who achieve considerable marks and annual income are quite less.

Campus Life :

We had a good campus life. They provide enough freedom to the students. Faculties are also quite friendly with the students. But the college infrastructure is not upto the level. There is around 40 boys in a class. But the number of girls are half of that. Our college doesnt contain any political parties. There is no discrimination based on sex or religion.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, I am a hostler. Hostel rooms are quite clean. During 1st year there is 3 people per room. For rest of the year 2 people per room. Hostel food is also quite good and proper yearly maintanence are also done. Average hostel fee is 3000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna :

Our alumini are very much helpful in bringing companies for placements. Senior junior relationship is exceptionaly well expecially for hostlers.

Admission :

I got through nri admission. This college is excellent in placements. So I choose this college. Steps for nri admission: 1. We have to send our 10th 12th mark sheets including nri proving certificates to the principal of college. 2. After approval of the certificates they will fix a date for the interview. 3. We can choose the branch during interview and will get admitted to the college.

Faculty :

Our college contain around 100 teaching staffs and around 50 office staffs. Salary of each staff is based on experience. Various staffs got phd and they are very much handfull in clarifying doubts. Average age of faculties is around 50 years. Around 40 permanent staffs are there. Under them comes the assistant proffesors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum contains a vast area of nursing aspects and they include OSKI as a new component of the nursing curriculum which prepares as well enough to face the job interviews ahead. But the time limit is so short that we find it difficult to complete the syllabus on time. As the syallabus has changed to semester system we are expected to write exams more frequently but that is good as it helps as to improve our writing skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architecture is a tough and time taking course, the syllabus fine in the first three years but later on it becomes hectic. Maybe the syllabus can be reduced and I feel that five years is too long for architecture degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course mainly because of the job opportunities. There is plenty of teaching and non-teaching staff in the college. All the teaching staff has Mastered nursing and all are very talented teachers. The teaching method is lecturing and av aids are also used by the teachers like projectors. The exams are conducted after the completion of each unit. It's an average tough exam to score good marks. The only problem is that exams will be conducted daily and the personal behavior of some staff may vary from person to person.

I also planned to join LLM at central University or in Canada. In Canada there are many opportunities for LLB graduates.
