Remarks :

St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata is a good college. It has good discipline and an excellent faculty. The laboratories are updated and well-maintained. This college is famous for organising seminars of both national and international level. This guides the students in future planning too. I was fortunate for having got admission into this college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course syllabus is based on CBCS curriculum. This is indeed helpful for students. It allows students to read what they find interesting other than their honours subject. This increases their broadness of mind.

St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata has a variety of associations with a strong infrastructure. Notices on placements cells are regularly updated. Professors of the college also provide valuable information on placements and guide interested students. The Entrepreneurship Cell is an important association of this college.

St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata organizes plenty of college events. The different departments organize departmental seminars and competitions of national and sometimes international level. Also the college hosts remarkable functions on important events.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum was overall good but it's a bit pressure also. But as everyone knows good things required hard work. So I really enjoyed the whole course during the college years. There are two exams. One is internal of 25 marks and second one is of 75 marks, which is external.

BSc. in medical lab technology is a very demanding course nowadays . It's mostly a practical based degree which gives you the vast knowledge about different types of disease & their diagnosis. The patient interaction , sample taking , making slides , performing different tests to know the actual disease are different aspect of the course.The 6 months paid internship also gives good work experience which is very important.
