Remarks
Xavier's is a reputed and esteemed college. My course is interesting and will help me in the career I want to pursue. The course isn't very heavy academically, which gives me a lot of time to do extra curriculars on the side. It is very practical oriented which is great because we really need hands on experience in this line.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus for our course is interesting and keeps the students engaged. There are many practical classes which help us to get familiar with what it's like to work on field. Our faculties are great (except for a few maybe, the rest are pretty awesome). They have worked in the field on a professional level and to learn from them is really a great experience.
Internships Opportunities
I have done two internships so far, one as a graphic designer in Public Health Foundation of India (Delhi) and the other one as a reporter in Times of India (Kolkata). Both of them were unpaid internships, but they provided me with a lot of experience about how things work in the corporate world.
Placement Experience
I'm sorry I don't know the answer to this. But there must be 200 characters for me to be able to move on to the next question so, I don't really know what to write hence I'm using this tactic. My sincere apologies.
College Events
Xavier's is a happening place with a departmental fest being held every now and then. Many colleges and universities participate in these fests regularly. There are plenty of opportunities for a student to be a part of these in whichever way possible for their experience and exposure.
Campus Life
Our campus isn't very large (I say this probably because the Christ campus was huge), so I feel that this factor somehow effects the overall infrastructure. However, the facilities aren't horrible, they're pretty decent. The library is pretty impressive. In my opinion, the mass communication studios are the best, in terms of equipments, environment and experience.
