Ankita's Review On School Of Open Learning, University Of Delhi - [SOLDU], New Delhi

A
2.5 /5

Remarks :

Bcz this I was new to English literature so I thought why not take your time to pursue in new career path. Before this, that is. Back in school I was a medical student and was preparing for AIIMS medical exam. I passed the exam but was qualified enough to join AIIMS-Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course is nice, new CBCS system is a great help. Curriculum is a little disbalance but facilities are nice and helpful. We were taught by the guest faculty and it changes in every semester. But the permanent staff of SOL, English department is good too.

Placement Experience :

They don't provide any good and profitable placement opportunities in Sol. They provide opportunities like working in 24 seven etc.,

College Events :

Campus life is fun because I make it fun by myself. And Sol do not conduct any extracurricular activitie or events. Plus I'm new to Delhi University life so I didn't expected much about college life, events, and extracurricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum was to the point. Everything was explained nicely in books provided to us and faculty, teachers were very good. They were passionate about their job . I personally had no problems with timings or frequency of exams. I can't comment on areas of improvement either.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it is one such course that can never bore you. I have interest in analytical solving and problem solving. The curriculum is much more theory based and doesn't prepare the students much for real world or corporate world applications

Placement Experience:

One of the MSPs of the college is the placement records. The average stipend is 15 LPA which is commendable for colleges in this league. The summer placements went really great and the entire batch got placed within about 5-6 weeks.

Remarks:

The environment of the college speaks for itself. The student body is one of its kind and the college management is satisfactory.

Admission:

The cut offs are generated after you have registered with DU. The process is a smooth process and less time consuming. Once your documents are verified you will be admitted to the college on that day itself. There is a gap of 45 days from the registration date to the date when the first cut off is released.

Entrance Preview:

I got admission in this college by cut off list that University of Delhi releases. I got 85.6% in 12th by which i managed to pass the cut off marks. I opt for this college after I heard about it by some of my elders that the science faculty of this collage is really very good.

Admission:

After i saw the cut off list and observed that I am eligible to take admission in this college, I went to the college. Filled up the admission form and submitted to Jain sir after which my documents were verified and then i submitted my fees and that's how I got admitted in this college.
