Remarks :
Campus architecture is one one the best feature of SCET College. It is having open air theater in middle of the campus. Management of SCET changes every five years. At my time it is good. Sarvajanik education trust is one of the great education trust in Surat city. It is having every kind of Colleges and faculties.
Entrance Preview :
I have took GUJCAT Gujarat's entrance test. I have scorred 70% marks. This is one of the best self finance callage in south Gujarat region.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is fairly good. It touches most of aspects of respected faculties but in particularly my faculty is having maximum number of electives. Electives are like path decider. If you chose robotics or Biomedical as elective you can chose your carrier path accordingly.
Internships Opportunities :
There is no stipend for internship. We have to find company on our own for internship. Company came only for proffestional jobs seekers. I have took my internship in GIPCL, SURST LIGNITE POWER PLANT and it was great experience. I got 50 out of 50 marks on my protocol writing of my internship.
Placement Experience :
Good oncampus placements offerd by SCET. ESSAR India came every year band gives 5 to 6 lac per Annam package. Reliance gives 5 to 8 lac, Unilever gives 3 to 5 lac, other local PLC panel manufacturing company gives 2 to 3 lac package. Most of are places some were in companies and some one in collagies as lecturers. Some times Indian Army also comes.
College Events :
Khshitij is great techfest it is second best techfest after SVNIT' S techfest. Other than that every faculty is having its own techfest like My I&C faculty is having coin event . In that s tech fest there are some technical and nontechnical events like robolympics and treasure hunt.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure at my time is feasible 20000 per sem. But now it is somewhat 35000 per sem. 3000 lab and library deposit. It is one time at the time of admission.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is one SARVAJANIK EDUCATION TRUST scholarship but it is not much known. Three is no loan offerings from College it self.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio in SCET is somewhat imbalanced. Campus population is biased towards boys. Peoples are having great tolerance not only tolerance but respect for each other is also there. Labs are greatly equipped. Library is also well maintained. There is one techfest called Khshitij which takes place every year is having sort of popularity locally. GS election tacks place every year. Every year in winter sports festival takes place. Footsoldiers is the most popular event. It is biggest football event in Surat city.there are two parties only ABVP and NSUI. Most of the time ABVP wins.
Hostel Facilities :
There is one hostel for SCET students but it is so Massey and dirty and it is also having mess and it is having surprisingly good food. PG's are there in near proximity of college campus. Rantel varied from 2000 to 10000 per person as per locality. It is three months rent. In closest proximity the rant is more 7000 to 10000 per room. It is having one of the best canteen in Surat.
Alumni/Alumna :
Most of the Senior students are well settled . It is having good alumni network especially in my faculty network is very densely populated. But in the whole SCET ALUMNI network is somewhat poor.
Exam Structure :
Exams at my time were culled out. Because three was no mid exams or any other lab test .only sem end exams were there. But now in Gujarat technical university there were mid term exams and lab test also so it is somewhat hectic for students.
