Antony George's Review On Don Bosco Institute Of Technology - [DBIT], Mumbai

Remarks :

This is one of the best colleges in almost great connectivity from various areas of in and around Mumbai. The college also had a great campus and campus life which I got to know from alumni. The reviews about the college were good from friends and family who were familiar with the college. Also it was within good travelling time since i didn't want any hostel facility and wanted to study inside Mumbai itself.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The academics is a mix of theory and practical. The syllabus is quite vast and some technologies are outdated but they are core so we need to learn them. But otherwise its very challenging and covering many areas and fields which help you explore a lot.

Placement Experience :

The placement process is very well managed by the Training and Placement Cell. They guide the students through the process with necessary counselling, workshops, guidance and much more. For alumi reach, we have Alumni Connect programs which allow the alumni to come and interact with the students and express their doubts and real life solutions to problems they faced when they were students and went through all of it.

College Events :

There are 2 major fests - one cultural and one technical. And there are department days for all departments. Also there are events and fests of student chapters like ACM and we also have a gaming studio of ACM - Teknack. The fests offer a great experience and are all controlled by students and they get organising skills and experience from those events.

Campus Life :

The infrastructure is a wide campus with multiple buildings, courts, canteen, open grounds, indoor courts, game rooms, for recreation. On academic side there are many labs, computer labs, machine labs, library, digital library, and above all one of the rarest colleges with its own recording Studio inside the campus. No wifi in campus but in library. Internet facility is available for doing projects and using laptops.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very interesting. Sanskrit is our ancient language you must have to learn and understand it. I personally like to learn different languages that's why I choose the course. Faculty and student is perfectly fine. Faculty members and teachers are very supportive and lovable. The pattern is semester basis and unit test are also their. You have to work hard on the language method then you can score the numbers.

College is close to my residence. Staff is known. Brother is a student from same college. Therefore it helped me give insights in order to take admission at this college. After checking the placements record, I felt it opportune enough for me to admit here. And also, it provided the course in which I was interested.

Placement Experience:

Companies like KPIT, TCS,etc visit the college every year. The college conducts number of events for guiding the students regarding their job profiles and placement procedure. The alumnis of the college conduct a meeting every semester in order to keep in touch with the students. Also, there is opportunity of students to apply for fellowships. Students are trained for entrepreneurship under the guidance of alumni. Due to this, tree years ago, a student from first year was able to open a start up in the second year itself.
