Uttaranchal University Dehradun, B.Tech, Computer Science and Engineering

Remarks

I wanted to join a University in my hometown with good infrastructure and facilities. Hence I visited various University Campus and then finally decided to join Uttaranchal University because of its modern infrastructure, great facilities like central library, playground, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is just like any other engineering college but in addition to that we have soft skills trainers who help us for our placements. Industrial exposure is not very great over here, just regular workshops are organized. Faculties over here are well qualified but not very updated with latest scenario, but we do have some great faculty members like Himanshu sir, Musheer sir for data structures, Arti mam.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I have interned with Delivery as a campus ambassador. I got a stipened of rs2000. i used internet to secure this internship opportunity

Placement Experience

Placements over here are not good in the final year. Companies like extramarks, jaro education, Daffodil etc., visited our campus for placements. The average salary package offered was 2.25 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 7.5 LPA. Technical as well as non technical roles are offered.

College Events

Apart from studies, equal emphasis is laid on extracurricular activities for overall development. Every department conducts different events where students from other departments can participate. My favorite is Treasure Hunt as it helps us in working in a team and making a quick decision along with a lot of fun. Apart from these events, a huge 5 days grand fest is held where celebrity singer and DJs perform.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have availed scholarship for Uttarakhand resident hence i got a 25% rebate on my fees throughout the course.

Campus Life

Uttaranchal university has one of the best infrastructures in Uttarakhand. Here computer labs are equipped with 300 computers, and other labs are also well-equipped. We have a great central library, where we are provided with a book bank for the entire semester so that we don't have to worry about buying books. So, it saves a lot of time and money. There is also a dedicated reading room with air-conditioning facilities to study in a quiet environment.

BEST NAAC A++ COLLEGE IN UTTARAKHAND

Likes

The campus has decent infrastructure, a library, labs and a supportive learning environment.
Faculty members are helpful, and campus life provides opportunities for social interaction and personal growth.

Dislikes

Placements and internship opportunities could be improved, especially for MBA students.

Placement Experience:

At RIT Roorkee, MBA students generally become eligible for placements in the final year. Companies may offer roles in marketing, finance, HR and sales placement opportunities and salary packages depend on the company and student's skills. The highest package, average package and placement percentage vary each year students should improve their communication skills, practical knowledge and internship experience to get better opportunities. After completing my MBA, I plan to join a good company and build my career in management.

Class schedule is very busy. There are so many training

Course Curriculum Overview:

To be honest they focus more on pratical rather then theoritical. W went for many industrial visit, like cocola, iits, parleg and many other 1st half classes are for theoretical and 2nd half for training. I think they should make the schedule little lighter but yes they prepare us for the real world challanges that is for sure/

A Well-Rounded B.Tech Journey with Good Infrastructure, Supportive Faculty, and Growing Career Opportunities

Likes

Faculty members are generally qualified and approachable, and students can seek help with academics and projects.
students should supplement the university curriculum with industry certifications, coding practice, internships, GitHub projects and real-world development work.
There are cultural events, technical activities, clubs, sports and other extracurricular activities. Hostel students can participate fairly actively in campus events.

Dislikes

The main improvement I'd look for would be more advanced, industry-standard laboratory equipment and greater practical exposure.
I couldn't find a reliable current official university figure for the overall girls-to-boys ratio.
The ratio can also differ substantially between CSE, other engineering branches and the university as a whole.

Placement Experience:

Haridwar University provides regular campus-placement opportunities across IT, core engineering and other sectors. The university reports strong overall placement activity, but programme-wise salary and placement data are limited publicly, so students should ask for CSE-specific statistics before admission.
