Remarks :

I was working and studying at the same time. I wanted to fund my own education. So I wanted to go for Distance Education so that I will be able to manage both. Sikkim Manipal University is the most reputed institution when it comes to getting degree for distance learning.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was apt and had all the details mentioned that was necessary. The faculties were very helpful and cooperative. They used to provide all the necessary documents and study material.

Course Fees : INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internshala no stipend

Placement Experience :

There are many Bangalore based companies that come for interview like MNCs and ITES companies. The centre head used to send us email regarding the company that was going to visit. I was already working so I didn't go for any such job placement interviews.

College Events :

Sikkim Manipal University doesn't have any campus life as such. They are just centers and the head of operations is based in Sikkim. There are many centers in Bangalore and all over India. There were no cultural and management festivals held there.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I did not available any scholarships for my MBA, however I got the LIC scholarship for my graduation that was given to me on the basis of my marks in 12th grade. I used to get monthly â?¹1000. I am not sure about loans.

Campus Life :

Sikkim Manipal University is a distance learning program and has different centers in the city. The centre in which I went was well equipped with computers and had a good wi-fi connection. There is no sports facilities available there.

Hostel Facilities :

I used to stay as a PG. The rent was â?¹4500 per month for 1 BHK, excluding electricity. Houses in Bangalore are perrty easy to get but sometimes the owner might not be ready to give it to a bachelor girl.

Hostel Fee : INR 8000 per year

Review of SRM UNIVERSITY SIKKIM

Placement Experience:

About the campus placement they give us placement but not of huge packages. The salary package comes out around 2.50 LPA till 3.50 LPA. Just the chosen few get big packages. The highest package offered was around 10LPA. Most of the students here don't opt for placement as in Sikkim people believe that government jobs are better and choose to do government jobs instead of opting for placement from colleges.

Remarks:

The college is a good choice for pursuing bachelor degree, I enjoyed my college days. The college is really good overall. We get to learn in a very good environment. The employees here are friendly and approachable.

Admission:

I got admission into this college through the merit list procedure as I have applied for B.Sc. and for engineering you have to give the SRMJEE exam to get through to this college. You have to yourself visit the college for verification of documents

Perfection matters.

Remarks:

I think I am in the right college and my college have given me many opportunities to explore and learn new things. Here they organise regular workshops and competition. To nourish the basics and fundamentals of the students.

Admission:

You can get admission into this directly through the higher secondary examination marks or SRM joint entrance examination. The admission procedure is pretty simple and the administrative officials are also very good and helpful.
