Remarks :

It gives a great opportunity in the practical field for my course and placements are good. Industrial visits are there which are really helpful. Gives opportunity for internship every year which help in my experience of work.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course syllabus is very much updated. Very every according to new discovery and invention, curriculum is updated. Industrial visits are there once a year. Faculties are very good, experienced and down to earth. Name- Arundhati Mam.

Class Size : 20Course Fees : INR 60300 per year

Placement Experience :

Companies visited are few. College offers internship after the completion of course. After that its totally based on the company if they want to recruit you for the job or not. Internships are offered based on interviews.

College Events :

Campus life is nice. Not much hectic. Balanced life. There's a large event is organised once a year. Different extra curricular activities from writing to art, dance, singing are also organized. After classes, practicals and studies, this event really helps the students to take their mind off.

Campus Life :

Sports events are organised every year. College wifi is there. Library is very big. Different types of books of different subject and courses are present and research magazines are also there in the library. For every research and practical different types of lab equipments are also there.

Hostel Facilities :

There is one student hostel (where both girls and boys live), one nursing hostel and one postgraduate hostel. Rooms are shared by three students. 1 lakh has to be paid for both hostel facilities and food. Its easy to avail hostel seats.

Hostel Fee : INR 112000 per year

I chose to take Tourism honors as it is one of my favorite subjects since I was studying in class 9. Is it a service-providing sector. The faculty out here are really outstanding. They guide us by providing notes by explaining every little word. They never miss their class. The exam's time was from 10;30-11;30. Questions were not that tough.

My Review on Sikkim University

Admission:

Like most of the other MBA colleges one needs to appear for CAT, and so did I. One needs to have scored at least 50% in Graduation, along with either CAT or MAT scores will help you land here. All you have to do is apply online which is fairly simple.

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is still average. Many companies come every year like Axis, Cipla, Business organizations, etc. to recruit students with an average package of around 3 LPA. Alumni network are very helpful for getting internships if any seniors recommend you.

Admission:

The rules to get admission in MBA course is different for general and SC/ST/OBC students. The major thing seen while getting admission is clearance of CAT exam. I am from SC class and have marked my place in available 25 seats of the course by having more than 45% marks in graduation.

Sikkim University- A good start for career

Admission:

After B.Sc in Microbiology, I decided to go for further studies and started looking for a college. I came to know about Sikkim University from the Internet and decided to apply for it. Eligibility for applying is to score a minimum of 45% aggregate and all I had to do was apply online which was fairly simple.

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is satisfactory. Many companies belonging to health, biological research, quality control, etc. do visit on an annual basis. The median package is 3 LPA. Alumni network do help a lot in getting internships with good stipend.

PLACE WHERE LEARNING BECOMES FUN

Remarks:

The college is in a very peaceful place and the environment of our college is very good totally covered by the hills. Afterall this is a very good place and also ragging free. I published a paper in SCI journal and got an incentive amount of Rs/-1667. Also got a fund from SMU for our project.
