Remarks :

Being one of the top rank college and the oldest IIT, Kharagpur has lot to offer a lot in terms of strong alumni network, campus facility, 2200 acres lush green campus, rich tradition and an IIT branding.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was not updated to the industry standard. It was more theoritical than practical implementation. Only few of the faculty members were strong with their subjects in terms of knowledge and experience.

Internships Opportunities :

I have secured a research internship at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. The work was in autonomous grounded vehicle. No stipend was provided for 2.5 months of internship period.

Placement Experience :

Placements at IIT Kharagpur are super awesome. More than 1500 students gets placed within 15 days of placement season. Many companies across USA, Europe and Asia visit the campus. The alumni network is super strong and the institute has 'Lear Earn & Return' policy which is been taken very sincerely by alumni.

College Events :

IIT KHARAGPUR has annual cultural fest - 'Spring Fest' which is 3days super cool event and gets footprint of 15000-20000 whereas annual Techno-Managent, 'Kshitij' showcases technical events and competitions with some heavy price money. Apart from these each Engineering department has their own fests which are smaller in magnitude. Campus life is once in a lifetime experience. With 2200 acres of gigantic campus, 4 years are not enough to explore it. Campus has this unique tradition of celebrating Diwali - it is called 'ILLU', an eco-friendly way to celebrate Diwali with thousands of diyas on vertical chatai and beautiful rangolis.

Campus Life :

IIT KHARAGPUR has biggest library which offers more than a million offline and online records. Full campus was wifi enabled with super fast connectivity. Campus has basketball, football, cricket, batminton, tennis and hockey sports infrastructure with good quality trainers and a super cool gymnasium for all residents. All Labs are good with large space and all necessary equipments.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel accommodation is compulsory and they are really good with all facility including playgrounds, mess, music room, tv room, stationary shop, barber shop and canteens. Each hostel has unique culture which they are known for. Movie Chhichhore is inspired from the hostel culture in IIT KHARAGPUR.

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

This college is affiliated by MAKAUT and it is one of the best Universities, so I was looking for a college with a MAKAUT degree so I chose Ilead as my College and overall it has a very goor Campus, I didnâ??t see any good Campus as Ilead.

Remarks:

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.
