Remarks :
College management was very good. There were staffs always present to clean the premises and the washrooms were also neat and clean
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum organized for the students was quite nice. Teachers used to focus of each and every subject very nicely and they made sure that they covered each and every topic in detail. There were no industrial visits organized. Exams are conducted very simply. During my time there were part exams not semester exams. Now the structure has changed and semester exams are being conducted after every six months.
Placement Experience :
The placement in the college was optional. Students who wanted to work appeared for the interviews conducted. The companies were omnifin solution, indigo, spicejet and many more. information regarding hiring is being spread and students who wants to apply just update their CV on the placement cell page of the college. After that companies come and take interviews. I did not take any internship program nor the college conducts it.
College Events :
Events such as shri is being conducted in which students and teachers put their stalls and whatever profit is earned is being donated to charity. One event is the annual fest which is for one day and colleges from all over Kolkata participates. Sports day is also being held.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee for b.com during my time was around INR 45000 per year which is feasible. The college provides transparency in the fee-breakdown. There are no additional fees to be paid. Mode of payment was through draft only. They accepted only drafts. We just had to pay Rs 200 for annual fest ticket.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The college does not offer any scholarship opportunities. Students had no option for scholarship in the college
Campus Life :
All girl's college so no gender ratio. Extra curricular, labs, sports room, swimming pool, a well maintained large library everything was there. There were various societies too. All students were treated equally so there was no role of discrimination.
Hostel Facilities :
No. There was no particular hostel of the college. But there was one hostel which had a collaboration with the college whose name was Dhanuka Girl's Hostel. It was located in the outskirts which was far.from the college but the location and room was too good. Average rent was around 7000 per month. The rooms were two seaters and they were being provided with everything needed.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors of my college were very nice and helpful. They were ready to help us in any circumstances whether be it extra curricular activities or studies
Admission :
I completed my 12th in the year 2016 and always wanted to study commerce and Kolkata is known for the best commerce colleges. Shri Shikshayatan College is a all girl's college and the faculty out there is also very nice. Once my marks were declared I immediately filled the admission form and waited for the cut-off list. The procedure was quite simple. Once I saw my name on the merit list I was asked to visit Kolkata for the furthur steps. I visited the college and then there were teachers who verified the documents and after the verification process the admission is finalized. The dates for application starts as soon as the result is declared.

Per day lectures are around 6 of 45 minutes each. Faculties are quite knowledgeable and they have the the knowledge of what they are teaching. They were doctors, professional. Average age of the the faculty members must be approximately around 35. The lectures did not hold any relevant industry-experience or certifications.
