Remarks :

I would say that the college life was good. However it was very strict. Our labcoats were checked too. We sometimes didnt have enough dental materials. But patient flow gives us good practice. I loved being in Goa DENTAL college and Hospital.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our college is probably the best. It is the only government hospital in Goa. Great exposure made us into better doctors. Removing 400 teeth is what makes dentistry real fun. They made sure that we were fit to face any situation in our life. Hostel life was fun as well.

Placement Experience :

We had a 1 year compulsory internship. Post that we were perfect to start our own clinics. Most of us did.

College Events :

Fun week, it was a 3 day long event. There is not much fun in medical or dental colleges. Goa medical college had an event called Genesis. It was all fun until our assignments were close which were many many. Fun week was a relaxed part of the yearly schedule

Fee Structure And Facilities :

About 20000 per semester. But you also need to buy some instruments and materials. Text books and other study materials are not included. Everyone spends about 50k additional to the regular fees which I think is acceptable. Hostel fees are about 9k per year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No. There was no scholarship as far as I know. But I believe Goa government gives education loans.

Campus Life :

Campus life was great. Big garden to take walks. Gender ratio was 1:6 girls in majority. Library was great, big and stocked. Lots of common rooms, great hostel facility. Good faculty. Labs were clean and well equipped. Each clinic had sufficient chairs, some didn't work.

Hostel Facilities :

I did. We had some lectures very early in the morning. Hostel fees were reasonable considering how good it was. Cleaning staff was also very kind. Fees were 9k per year. Mess was not included. We had a garden too.

Alumni/Alumna :

Not really. We have a WhatsApp group but nobody is active. We dont have a webpage or anything.I wish there was something we could do.

Admission :

I answered Goa state entrance exam for medical course. The exam includes 3 subjects physics chemistry mathematics. It is fairly difficult. Same exam applies for medical and dentistry. Now it has changed to Neet exam. It is annual exam. The college is close to home and a good institution.

Faculty :

Our faculty was strict, but good. They were good teachers. Starting from the way we dressed and the way we presented ourselves up to making us better professionals and diagnostician. There were so many who have helped us shape our lives. Some made lectures worth while.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think they should include more of practical teachings than just going by books. A little bit of teaching in practice and giving more of live examples would have helped students to kick start their career way effectively.

for final placements students from the fifth semester become eligible and for the SIP program after 3 trisemesters you can take part in sip recruitment. A large number of companies visit the campus for both SIP and Final placements. 100% of placements are there in GIM in all courses. My plans are to work in a Big firm and complete my CA course

In aspects of enrollment quality and packages, India's IITs are very good. IIT Goa is of the same caliber as IIT Delhi, and it offers some of the best recruitment opportunities in India. The college has a track history of 100% placement. The highest selection offer is approximately 47 LPA, and the average earnings package is approximately 18 LPA. The placement committee is constantly working to improve college placement standards.

Remarks:

New college, no existing information. I chose this because i saw the scope of growth. It had an affiliation with IIT Bombay, which was very good. The admission process was the standard JoSAA process, whch is for admiassion to IITs. the admissionis on the basis of JEE Advanced and the process spans over two months, starting in June.

Admission:

JEE advanced score was the admission criteria. I took coaching for two years for preparing for the same. It was a two stage exam consisting of Maths, Physics and Chemistry Questions, mostly multiple choice questions.

Admission:

To get admission, I had to first fill out the application form which is present on the college website, then I had to submit the marks scored in grade 12 and then the students were ranked according to marks scored and the students who were selected had to give an interview.

Placement Experience:

Our college provides various placements opportunities but they are quite limited and the college is going to increase the companies offering placements in the coming years, a really good stipend is provided by the companies.

Admission:

For admission into Goa Medical College, I had to give NEET entrance exam. I even had a counselling session before my admission. Based on my score and merit list I secured admission in GMCH. The college also provides relaxation to the SC/ST candidates.

Placement Experience:

There are not much placement opportunities for MBBS students. Nonetheless, we have to do a compulsory internship of eight to ten months after completing our final semester. The stipend offered during the internship is roughly ?16000 per month.

My keen interest in the field of Science made me find an apt college for doing my MBBS course and Goa Medical College was my choice. Known for the fusion of European and Indian culture/beauty, Goa is a favourite destination for many and it was my dream to study in this beautiful land. I've applied to the course of MBBS with my NEET UG Medical Scorecard. The selection process also involved NEET UG counselling session.

Placement Experience:

The college provides internship for all the students after the final year of MBBS. The Stipend is for one year and is around Rs.15000 per month. The internship program is very much useful for the students and makes them capable through experience.
