Remarks :
I am very happy that I got admission in Cummins college.it is really the best college in all aspects.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Cummins is Autonomous College. So quality of exam is very nice. It is more application based so it improves our knowledge quality. We have many clubs in our college like astronomy club, ACM, CSI, astronomy club helps students for research driven studies.i am member of ACM club,we conduct many technical compititions through this club. So we get to learn many managment qualities. This year we had an industrial visit to IBM and also Citi Corp bank arranges citi bridge program which is for 100 girls and for 100 hours. so in this program we get a great exposure to corporate life and any essential technologies that are used in industries.
Placement Experience :
Placement of college is really best. It is 99 percent for computer and 90 percent for other branches. Companies also visit for providing internship to students.2 month internship. Companies like Microsoft,Goldman Sachs,Citi, Barclay's, Dell and many more around 85 companies visit campus for hiring. College curriculum includes the courses like quantitative aptitude and soft skill development which makes us ready for placement process.
College Events :
We have many events. Major events are Gandhar and Innovation. 'Innovation' is technical event which includes many technical compititions and hacathon sponsored by IBM.'Gandhar' is our cultural fest,where many competition for intra college and inter college are conducted. Last year I represented our class in painting competition.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure differs according to caste, for open it is quite expensive.My fees is 81898 and I pay it through net banking. Fees is accepted through NEFT, RTGS, DD. For merit students tuition fee is not taken. Connection is tution fees I.e the students who get admission through TFWS they get cancellation of tution fees.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No I didn't opt for any loan. But I get concession in fees due to OBC. For that I need to feel maha dbt form.
Campus Life :
Cummins is girls college. Extracurricular activities like sports robocon,BAHA are really best in Cummins and everything is managed by girls so that is the best part. Sport teams always excells in ZEST. 5 consecutive years we have trophy of zest.
Hostel Facilities :
My hostel is Baya Karve Hostel.The allotment of hostel was first come first serve.Hotel rooms are good, we stay 3 girls in one room, and also hostel food is very good,hostel is cleaned on regular basis and also the campus of hostel makes it the best hostel.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors are very helpful. As I stay in hostel I get very good guidance from my seniors. The guide us in choosing the electives and also getting prepared for placements.
Admission :
Cummins is of the best college in pune and also state colleges. I got admission in Cummins via CET marks through CAP rounds. I choose Computer Engineering because it is the best branch in cummins, Also the placements are 99 per for computer department. Also sports and other activies are fantastic in cummins which makes it on of the Best College. Due to the following reasons i choose cummins for Engineering. Also commins teachers and principal are very supportive. Admission is mostly through CAP rounds which happens in July and college starts in August. Some of them take admission through management with large amount of fees
Faculty :
Faculty in Cummins is very good. We can access faculty by visiting their cabin or emailing them. They are very helpful. We have 5 days college in week and approximately 4 lectures every day along with practicals. All the faculty is expertise I.e Mtech or MS and HODs ahe very supportive. we have lectures on quantitative aptitude and communication skills. also value education.
