Course Curriculum Overview
This course majorly focuses on Yoga Science along with psychology and a little bit of philosophy. The university has made Sanskrit mandatory so I got a chance to study the ancient holy language in-depth along with English to develop good communication skills. I had to go through an Aptitude test which consisted of basic questions from English, general science and Logical Reasoning. The interview was mostly personal, about my history, background and goals and the physical test included thorough check-up to confirm my health.
Placement Experience
Not to brag but most of the alumni is residing in a foreign country now. The in-depth knowledge of Yoga combined with the science works as a magic for people. The placement rate is high and it keeps increasing every year. The stipend varies somewhere from 5 L P.a to 13 L P.a. The department puts a lot of hard work in the internships for its students. The university even arranges for yoga retreats where we are the assistant instructors.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The course is for 3 years and the annual fee is 25,000 INR every year or 75,000 INR in total. I find the fees quite affordable as we are getting to learn from the best. Baba Ramdev takes classes at times to explain the power of yoga and how to do it correctly, these guest lectures are included in the annual fee.
Campus Life
If you are looking for an alluring infrastructure or modern ambience, you will be disappointed as the university worships quaintness from the bottom of its heart, the dress is strict to be followed which is ethnic wear both for men and women.
Admission
After I filled an application form, I had to undertake an entrance examination or an aptitude test. I got a call from the organisation when I cleared the test and was called for an interview at the centre which was followed by a medical test. The admission process is a bit long, you will have to go through the first round and clear it to proceed further.
Faculty
The faculty is an exemplary example of being tough when needed but mostly friendly. We have a lot of outdoor study sessions for refreshing our minds and yoga retreats to bring peace. The professors value practical knowledge more and I absolutely awe them for that.
