- The labs instrument are so good in my department. The environment in the campus is also very good. Greenery in the campus is the best thing.
- Library of the campus is good. You can study in the reading room or the main Library in the free time when u want to study.
Dislikes
- The food in the hostel are average. Sometimes we get good good sometimes not.
- Teachers are good here but sometimes they do not listen properly to students
Course Curriculum Overview :
I like studying chemistry and the chemistry wing of the university is best in my area so i choose to study here. The teaching methods are good and so the lab work. Experiments are good they give us extra knowledge about the course also through seminars. Teachers should sometimes listen to students that's the area where they should improve themselves
Internships Opportunities :
Internships depends on the students interest. If they want to do the internship then they can apply in the different companies. University provides the opportunity every year for the internship programmes in different companies to the students.
Placement Experience :
In the last sem the students became eligible for the placements in the campus. In their final year the campus placements are there companies like TCS,etc. also came here for the requiring the students. N.o of companies visiting the uni vary yearly. Students should have percentage above 60.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure of Guru Nanak Dev University is semester type fee paying structure i.e in the odd semester means 1st semester the fee is 40-45 thousand and even semester it is 12-14 thousand. The fees may vary from year to year. The Sc scholarship is also available and also fee concession for the students who are not able to pay full fee is there. In the sc scholarship u will have the fully fee concession and the othe fee concession policy the fee will be paid will be half or sometimes they give the full concession after interviewing the students
Campus Life :
Every year on the account of festivals different types of fests are there in the university. Youth festival happened every year in which different different colleges who came under University participated. And there is Jashan in which inter department students competed every year. On Lohri, Diwali, aholi,etc there are fests in the campus. There are also different groups of students who r there to help students in the difficult times and give solution to their problems.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel infrastructure is good. There are 3 boys hostel and 4 girls hostel in the University. After the admission the Hostel portal opens and u have to apply online for the hostel the fee structure is 19500 per year and 6000 security which is one time only. Rooms are single, double and triple seaters in the hostel. Meal quality is moderate in the hostel. If u want to live in the pg then opposed of the university Kabir park, mohini park,etc localities are best for pgs.
Admission :
I personally want to study in the Guru Nanak Dev University because the chemistry department of the Guru Nanak Dev University is best that's i hear and i didn't apply anywhere else. They took the entrance test for the addmissions and if u do well in the entrance exam then u further carry on with the admission process. U should study your 10th-12th classes science it ease the clearance of entrance.
Faculty :
In University there large number of courses are available. The teachers and students in my department including the non-teaching staff is approx 1000 students and there are 10-12 teachers and approx 10 lab attendants are there in every lab. The exams structure are there will be mid sem and then there will be major exams. Minors will be of 20 marks and of 80 marks will be the major exams
