Course Curriculum Overview :

The duration of the course is two years divided into six semesters . We are basically given insights into the fashion industry . We also have a project on dyeing&printing where the deliver-bales includes many types of prototypes to showcase the consumer demand trends .The study is also followed by consultancy on the marketing strategies and brand development.

Placement Experience :

Our college provides best placements than any other fashion institute. The average package last year was around 5 lpa which can go upto 15 lpa . We are also provided with overseas opportunities to showcase our talent. The roles that were offered to students were assistant designer , retail manager , merchandise manger and many more from the top fashion companies like Pantaloons , Wills lifestyle , Vera - Moda , Lifestyle , Zara etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees for one year is around 5.34 L . This fees is excluding the hostel & mess fees . I consider the fees to be quite expensive seeing the curriculum they provide us . We also have to pay the one time registration fees and security deposit in the first year.

Campus Life :

An annual fest " Spectrum" is held at our college in even semesters . We have various clubs like library club , cultural club , film and photography club( which is responsible for all visual communication activities ) etc . The sports club organises various tournaments like football , volleyball , tennis so that we improve on our cultural part also.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel rooms of our college are very well maintained and spacious . In our campus we have 88 rooms for girls. Sadly there is no hostel facility available for boys in our college. We are given the rooms on twin sharing basis. The mess food is also quite good and different dishes are made everyday according to the time table prepared by the student council. The classrooms are clean and the labs are completely equipped with new techno, logy. We have a canteen and a stationery shop. Overall the campus is really good.

Admission :

You need to clear the entrance exam organised by the university . Apart fro m that you need to hold a bachelors degree ,( minimum of three years) from NIFT or NID . There is no upper age limit as prescribed by the college. I had applied online for the college after filling my necessary details and paying the registration fees. After you have cleared the test you would be called for an interview round. My name appeared in the third merit list and therefore I was granted admission in the college.

Faculty :

The teachers of the college are very helpful and supportive. We are taught about the fashion industry in detail by the well renowned designers of the industry. We are given projects which is equally important to enhance the quality of education. Our teachers take us to industrial trips to give us exposure and build up our personality in such a way that we are industry ready.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is a professional course and its curriculum is pretty difficult. B.A.LL.B(Hons) is a 5 year course which spans to over 10 semesters. Some of th aspect that made me opt for this particular course is that one need not do a 4 year B.A. course and then 3 year LL.B course when one can do all that in 5 years. Additionally, after graduation from this course one can practice as an advocate directly after passing the BAR exams. B.A.LL.B(Hons) is a course which has both theory and practical. For most of the first two years pre-law papers will be taught to have a basic understanding of concepts and to build up a foundation for grasping the more complex papers to be taught in the higher semesters. This course also includes interning and this is implemented from the 1st year itself which is great exposure for students. The course however needs revision as it is pretty old. Exams can pretty difficult or easy depending on one's own capabilities and preparation as the paper can be tough.

Admission:

I got admission in this course after qualifying my Bachelor of computer application with 70 percent of marks. Any graduates from any discipline with minimum 45 percent of marks from a recognised university are eligible to apply for admission in this course. The admission process was very good in our university.
