Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculumThe course curriculum was designed with specialization in different areas like generation; protection; distribution systems; neural networks; system control, modelling and simulation; on-line control including load and switching control. During my second year, we were taught software like MATLAB, STATA, LabView for R & D work. We were technically trained right from the first year to apply our practical knowledge in the real world. The exam was held semester wise. It was upto the faculty whether they want entire evaluation on the basis of external exam or they will consider the internal assessment as well. My first year exam went well and i scored good marks in the internal exam that comprised of a practical and research report.

There is advanced learning infrastructure built up by the cell placement unit where regular skill training and industrial visits take place. I worked for two months as a summer intern at Jindal steel and power in their electric department that helped me to learn the working of the circuits and on-loop in real life. I was paid stipend of INR 12,000 per month. This shaped me an individual giving me industry insights.
