Remarks :

Pros: 1. MBBS from a renowned college like this will definitely have its own perks. Plus it has the best college campus( Don't forget Anatomy hall in Munnabhai MBBS movie). 2. Being an apex govt institute in Maharashtra, you will get to see a wide variety of patients including really rare cases. 3. All the renowned PG classes have their prime center in Mumbai so you can join them even in your second year. 4.The cultural capital of Medical colleges ( have their very own gymkhana at marine drive where all the functions take place). 6. The fees per year is 67,000rs. for 1,3 and 4yr. For 2nd yr its 90,000. Hostel fees are rs 4000 per year. The hostel is on-campus only. In total 5 canteens in the campus. 7. An internship here is an experience to be treasured forever. Cons: 1. Politics and JJ go hand in hand. So sometimes it could be really troublesome. The Dean has now changed so maybe there is a little hope to minimize this. 2. Academics were a little lenient back under the reign of a specific dean.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Choosing to be a doctor shouldn't be a spontaneous decision. It demands a good span of your lifetime and hard work. If you are ready to endure it, then only choose this profession. And remember the medical field is a service sector and not actually a job, unlike other courses. Faculty in JJ are some of the really best ones. Medicine, Surgery, Obgy is amongst the best clinical depts. You have separate lecture halls for each subject in each year. Teaching is audiovisual. All the practicals are done seriously and PG residents will guide you in each step in almost every subject till the final year. For instance, in the first year, one cadaver will be there among 8- 10 students and one teacher is assigned to you for the full dissection guidance. Exams are Term exams, Prelims exams, and Final University exams ( includes theory plus practical). No cheating is allowed. But if you pay attention in class and study in the Central Library (Air-conditioned) located on campus, passing isn't very difficult.

Internships Opportunities :

You can complete your internship in JJ hospital only or you can take an externship to complete in elsewhere. But completing it in JJ will give you an extra edge considering the variety of patients.

Placement Experience :

Placements aren't in consideration since its a medical college. But a good number of students get selected for their PG courses in internship only.

Fees and Financial Aid :

First yr 67,000/- Second yr 90,000/- Third minor yr 67,000/- Fourth yr (third major) 67,000/- The stipend is provided during the internship period of 1yr. 11,000/-.

Campus Life :

Kurukshetra - annual sports fest ( campus and gymkhana) Astitva - annual inter-college fest ( gymkhana) Antarang - annual Marathi fest This college is also known as the cultural capital of Maharashtra Medical Colleges. Mr. Amitabh Bachhan, Neha Kakkar, Jonita Gandhi, Darshan Rawal, Ujjwal Nikam, and the list goes on and on, have graced us on many occasions. Students here very active and various clubs like Book clubs, substance abuse awareness clubs are currently running. The library in the campus only, fully furnished, air-conditioned, and books right from the 18th century are present.

Hostel Facilities :

Fees are really minimal considering the location. Mavashis and mamas clean room on alternate days, which includes brooming and pochha. For the final year and internship students, a single room is provided and all other have to share room among.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The current curriculum is comprehensive based curriculum. Here practical knowledge is more important than bookish knowledge. So now spending more time in wards is of greater importance. Exams are held accordingly - 2 internals, 1 prilims and 1 University held by MUHS. Each exam is followed by practical examination. This curriculum will help to build good doctors rather than bookish doctors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is a very secure option to get a job later You get to open your own hospital later on. The curriculum is very practically oriented. you get hands on experience on patients and cadavers. Appropriate skills are taught as well through college programmes. Teaching is by presentation mode which gets quite boring for long hours but it's bearable when combined with afternoon practicals. Exams take place every 6months 2 term exams, 1 prelims , 1 University level exam

Course Curriculum Overview:

To be truthful I chose mbbs for my parents to be happy and honestly, I dont regret it a bit I was a bit scared at first about will I get proper tutoring or not or any proper guidance before admission but now it's pretty clear me that this college was a really great choice to be in terms of trained and experienced faculties each one of them is well qualified from well-renowned institutes. Our college is especially strict in terms of exams and dont tolerate anything in the study part

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to serve in the Indian army as prestige, AFMC is one of the best opportunities to serve in the army that's why I opted for it. There were approx 25-35 teachers and main staff mentoring 150 students. The teachers of afmc are more disciplined than any other, they not only make you doctors but also make you a gentleman or gentlewoman. Their teaching methods are awesome. Exams are semester-wise and twice a year. The teaching method of college in such a way that you easily quality exams if you will follow the college method

Course Curriculum Overview:

LTMMC is one of the top medical colleges in Mumbai. Faculties and students ratio is approximately 20:1. All teachers are well experienced. Every term exam has a 2-month gap. And the preliminary exam in November end. LTMMC is a strict college so difficult to pass the exam for the average student compared to other colleges.
