Remarks :

SRM IST has great potential available in the chemical engineering department, hence i made the choice. I choose chemical Engineering because i have future entrepreneurship plans in the same field.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course for chemical engineering is quite up to date based on what is actually required in the industries. Yes, we were given the opportunity to go on an industrial visit. The faculties are quite knowledgeable. However, some of them are old which can lead to clash of opinions at times.

Class Size : 40Course Fees : INR 250000 per year

Placement Experience :

I strongly believe for my stream that a lot depends on our personal preparation rather than the college's presentation. A lot of students every year bag great jobs. A lot of alumnus take out the time to have meetings with us regularly. College also makes sure we regularly attend workshops and other events which are great for our resume.

College Events :

We have Aaruush and Milan, and both of them are 4 days of amazing time. The participation is in tens of thousands and the event lists are also pretty good.

Campus Life :

We have huge library, quite a lot of sports options are available on campus as well as in hostels, wifi also works great but some students do get connectivity issues and the labs are well equipped with apparatus and machines.

Hostel Facilities :

The older hostels are cheaper, and the newer hostels are better equipped but also expensive. The food has divided opinions, some love it and others hate it for their life. However, the food is prepared in clean environment and the working staff maintains complete cleanliness at all times.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students become eligible for campus drive. The companies are like TCS, COGNIZANT etc. The highest package is 4.5 lac/annum is offered by TCS. The percentage of students is above 80. My plan is going to be a good employee in a good company.

One of the best college in Chennai

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, WIPRO, BPO COMPANIES, and many more top companies come. Highest package is 3-4 LPA and average 1.5 -2-5 LPA as per companies come. 70 to 90% students getting placements. To be successful is my carrier is my plan after getting the degree.
