College review

Remarks :

Overall, our college is a pleasant environment except for the additional fees for the books.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The exam structure includes 3 cycle tests and one university exam per semester. Industrial knowledge and placement training are provided simultaneously. Industrial visit is organised every 2 semesters. Lots of workshops are conducted by various technical clubs.

Placement Experience :

The placement drives generally begin at the commencement of 7th semester and the students are allowed to attend it.

College Events :

Every department conducts its own symposium every semester and a main cultural program is conducted on every even semester. Elexa is ece symposium. Combusted is mechanical. Texus is computer science symposium. Our college culturals is called stringz.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure includes tution fee book fee and value added course fee. It can be paid through net banking credit or debit cards or through dd if necessary. Every year we get new fresh books from the college that covers the entire year(2 semesters).

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college offers waiver for top 100 ranks from the entrance exam and also offers semester abroad program for the students who maintained high cgpa.

Campus Life :

The campus life is pretty much pleasant and the students have a healthey freedom. Ragging is strictly prohibited as it can fine upto 200000 if caught. Students from all over the nation can be seen in the college. The economic status may vary according to the students.

Hostel Facilities :

No I am a day scholar. The hostel rooms are clean and hygienic. Ac rooms may cost more compared to normal rooms. Food is provided in the mess. The hostel fee includes both food and accommodation. After the first year most of the students opt for taking houses for rent outside the campus.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni students are mentioned in the official Web page and some passed out students have also been recruited as staff.

Admission :

As I passed the entrance exam, I got a call letter for attending the counselling in the main campus (katangulathur). Based on my rank I was alloted a date on which I went and chose the campus and course. The reopen date was announced and we had an induction program.

Faculty :

Our subject list will be on the average of 6-8 including practicals and staffs vary for each subject every semester. The staff are qualified and experienced. Industrial visits are organised under the guidance of the class in charge. The staff maybe same for practical subjects.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
