Remarks :

Only having bad remarks it's loacted in remote place which doesn't have a public transport system, the overall college facility is very poor, labs, canteen, library is not all sufficient.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The circulum is not at all benefit for the courses like btech more preference should be given to pratical papers than theory paper, in which we have about 40-45 theory paper where the pratical papers is 10-12. The pratical done in the labs are the old one which is basics no importance for this in the present scenario.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 400000 per year

Placement Experience :

The placement in our college is not all good. Only some private company of chennai, Coimbatore only came to college. Any reputed company doesn't attend any placement programs in our college, and those got placement in some companies are doing jobs of labours like, not some engineering jobs.

College Events :

Tech festival are done by every department in every year. It include motorshow, stuntings etc. Some major workshops are also done during this fests. Students from other colleges are also participating in such events. Sport and arts festival are hosted at fourth year of our college life.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees is expensive it 70000rs for every academic with additional fees for exams etc. For those who using hostels must have to pay Rs 40000 extra. These Rs70000 is for those who got admission through govt allotment. Those who got admission in management seat have to pay between 1-1. 5lakhs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For apply loan, we have to get a bondafide from the college regarding the fees structure for those 4 years it include acdemic fees and hostel fees. The amount is limited to 4lakhs by the concerned bank, it will given in 4 equal installments.

Campus Life :

As mechanical engineering student the gender ratio to boys girls is 60:0. Their is no girls in our class. Their is no parties or cultural societies in our college. All the students are from all around kerala having different religion, cultural etc. The economic status different from lower to higher class students.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, hostel room is not all good and not completely furnished. One small room is shared by 4 people's, and bathroom and toilet is common for those who all staying in the hostel. No proper cleaning, providing filtered water is not their the hostel.

Hostel Fee : INR 40000 per year

Alumni/Alumna :

As the second batch in our college the no of seniors is less than us, so their are some what friendly and cooperative. The fees for alumni is collected but not still working.

Admission :

I got admission through govt allotment in the second round, according to my mark. I love machines and automobile so which I opted Btech. The admission process is simple after allotment we should get admission from the concerned college with proper certificates and the fees should be paid.

Faculty :

Among the 80% of fauclties age of an age group of 30-40 years old only having M. TECH in concerned subjects. Remaining are senior professor for reputable colleges having PhD in their concerned subjects. Athe youth lectures are not at all good at teaching but among them some are brilliant.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
