Master of Business Administration [MBA]

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course for the master's program was very career-oriented as it makes the students career-ready to work in any organization. Also, it had various practical sessions where there were only interactions between students and faculties. Exams were very tough and challenging for the first semester as everyone gave an exam for the first time in a master's course.

Placement Experience :

We had some good opportunities at the campus placement interviews as a relevant organization to our field visited for the placement interviews. Also, there was a list of companies where university guided for doing the internship of three months.

College Events :

Our university had brought the e-learning portal for the students and it was introduced by organizing an event where all the university committees were present including the parents also of the students. Along with it, students with the permission of university officials celebrate almost every festival at the campus itself.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

For a two year on-campus course, the fees were 15,000 which has to be paid every year. Generally, every student I know at the university paid the fees at the starting of every term as two installments in one year. An extra charge of 250 was taken excluding the tuition fees.

Campus Life :

As a similarity with extracurricular activities, the university took all the students to the recognized firm so that students understand the real work to be done when they graduate. Also, students were allowed to celebrates youth festivals, music solo, and group performance and celebrates national holidays.

Alumni/Alumna :

I have some talks with the alumni students as they came to some events organized by the university and share their experience with the current students. We came to know several things about the university through it. Seniors were very good and gave their notes of the previous year.

Admission :

The basic requirement was a three-year bachelor's degree as a bachelor of business administration or any four-year graduate degree from a recognized university for masters in business administration. I applied at the online admission portal of the university and as I was selected I was called upon the campus for fees payments and university counseling process.

Faculty :

We had some great sessions with the faculty at the university during regular lectures as well as the free lectures where the faculty gave extra notes and explained them with different real workplace examples. They were very qualified and professionally taught us.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate is great in this college. Last year placement rate was 96.5% and the second last year it was around 94.7%. In my batch, the most noteworthy bundle of a student was 14 LPA and the least bundle was 6.5 LPA and the most noteworthy bundle is 9.5 LPA and the least was 5.6 LPA. The top companies that recruited us for placements are Microsoft, HCL, Citi Bank, Mahindra, Tata, Wipro, Google, etc. Currently, I am working with Flipkart as a full-time employee and got placed because of my 3-month internship with them.

Remarks:

Overall the College is a good college. But there are too many levels of hierarchy. We never really know who is the main head of the institution because there are so many people like Principal, Chairman, Director, Coordinator etc. The university the college is affiliated under is not good. Anna University is keen on looting student's money.
