Course Curriculum Overview :
At Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), the course is a little tough. There are subjects like human anatomy, general medicines which require more attention according to my perspective. However, the exam structure is based on two platforms. The subject-wise test is taken, internals and practical examination, and a final year examination with the whole course.
Placement Experience :
There are several internship opportunities as you finish three years as the final year is for an internship. It is not fixed in which hospital the internship is done but it is mandatory. University was a great help as many seniors got to the internship at the same university where they study but there are no placement opportunities.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is a little bit expensive for mostly all the students as the fees to be paid are 52709/year and an additional charge of other services is taken by the university i.e., 5000. However, the scholarship is available based on economic background and merit number.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The scholarship is available at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences - [MUHS] for those who have proof of low income or unstable economic background and of course your merit number matters a lot. However, you can try for it, if the place is empty for the scholarship you can get it.
Campus Life :
There are not many extra-curricular activities as there is so much to read. However, the library is great with immense knowledge with almost every book required with several copies. The instrument at the laboratory is modern and much useful for everyone.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel infrastructure is quite average as per my perspective as I was living on pg-rooms. However, these are quite affordable and you can feel a sense of freedom. Other facilities were good like laboratory has good facilities for students.
Alumni/Alumna :
There is no network for alumni but when they come to attend seminars, there is a chance to hear their success story, However, the seniors are not that helpful as everyone is so busy in completing the course.
Admission :
I passed my 12th standard with average marks in all the three main subjects and I have given NEET, so my profile matched with MBBS course requirements. There was an entrance test with 3 question papers each of 100 marks by which the admission process starts. If you pass the test, documents, and fees to be submitted for confirmation.
Faculty :
The faculties are helpful but you need to be in their eyes for more help. There are many students under one faculty so students have to be more productive. Overall teaching experience is good at this university.
