Course Curriculum Overview :

In the dentistry we to learn both science and art. That's why I chose dentistry because I like art very much. Teeth has microstructure we have treat this microstructure. Department of Public health dentistry is the area for improvement in the course curriculum

Internships Opportunities :

We have to do internship in our very much own college. We have to treat the patients in our college only. Hospital is attached to college. And one more hospital is there of our college in the Solapur city. So sometimes we have to do postings there also

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

230000 rs per year. The course is of 5 years(4 + 1 yr internship). You have pay for 4 yrs. Thus total fee for the course is approximately 920000 rs. If you get admission through CAP round and your family income is less than 800000 then you have pay half fee i.e.115000rs per yr. If you are sc, st, student then you have pay 0 tuition fee and 8000 rs management fee

Campus Life :

Annual gathering occure in the winter between October or November months. Ganpati, holi , dandiya, fresher's this function are held in our college. Holi - March or April Dandiya - October Ganpati - August - September Fresher's - November There are many sports and extracurricular activities offered on campus

Hostel Facilities :

3 girls in each room. They provide cupboards for storage one chair, lights and fans. Room cleaning and toilet cleaning is also available. Meal quality is pretty much good. Puribhaji, pavbhaji, noodles and much more are there in menu.

Admission :

I choose this college because this is the very close college from my home, this is the only reason for choosing this college. I had applied to mit dental college, latur and dental college aurangabad. And fee structure of our college is very low as compared to the other colleges in Maharashtra. Admissions are done through cet cell counselling.

Faculty :

There are 100 students per year and approximate 80 teachers are in college. Faculty to student relationship is good and they are approachable. I like Faculty of Endodontics department. They teach us very nicely. There are 3 internal exams (3 theory + 3 practical) per subject and then University exam. Average 5-7 students fail to clear the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As second BDS student, we are still dealing with amalgam filling and tooth restoration, which, as of now isn't really preferred. I would love to learn the newer methods. But this isn't the college's fault. That's the problem of MUHS curriculum. We were even stopped from crown prep because MUHS has declined it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Dentistry has a wide scope in medical sector. In the internship period students are exposed to the real world patients which makes it possible for a good experience and to tackle future challenges. Dentistry on the other hand is quite expensive, the materials, instruments are expensive for a student who has weak financial background . Also in dentistry we have 19 subjects which have to be studied over 4 years, but 11 of them are divided in first three years and final year has 8 subjects which is difficult to get through so I would suggest to have a term wise pattern in final year exams rather than giving all 8 subjects at once. The difficulty level in exams for 1st 2nd and final year is moderately hard and 3rd year is easy

Placement Experience:

The medical and dental institutions across the nation do not follow the practice of campus placements. After graduating with a BDS degree, one can pursue MDS, MPH, MBA or MHA. courses. The majority of graduates work under experienced practitioners to gain work experience before starting their own clinic. The same can also be done by joining corporate dental chains. Some graduates apply for jobs as tutors and Junior Residents. Graduates also opt for short courses on implants and aesthetic dentistry to gain more hands-on experience. The opportunities are immense and the path chosen depends completely on individual preferences. I personally aim to pursue MDS in Oral Surgery after graduation.
